Driving is the most fun. My first time out on track was in a viper. Epic fun.

Wow!!! That's great news!! For those poor folks that were unable to afford a 2017, it's good to see that there will be a good supply of low mileage 2017's available in 10-15 years, ptobanly below sticker price. Are you a collectors or a caretaker? Prudent collectors are seldom the "original" owners.

Didn't you put one thousand miles on yours in one year?

If you can't afford a 2017 now, then good luck trying to afford one in 10-15 years, especially a low mileage one. Just sayin.

Awesome! I liked your enthusiasm when we met at the factory tour. Glad to see I'm not the only one driving it like a mad man!

Still only 4 miles from the factory on mine.

But in my defense, I'm letting a friend from out of state do the Xpel on mine which is forcing me to be extremely patient and not drive her.

Oh no, back to the storyline that the Viper will appreciate, and appreciate rapidly. Very few cars produced in volume appreciate In constant dollars.

That caused a nearly 1 month delay in accumulating mileage with mine. After that the gloves were off, so to speak.

7,212 since Feb. Love every mile. I find a reason to drive it. It's my stress relief. I'm usually gone all week for work so most of it is weekend cruise miles. Hell, I'll go grocery shopping with it.

You totally missed my point (which I thought would be pretty hard to do.). With the exception of the Ford GT, I can't think of any other car that was selling way over sticker on their 10-15 year anniversary.

I agree, the Ford GT skyrocketed in value, and for a few specific reasons not applicable to any other car:
    1. Rareness. Not a "assembly line" production car. 3221 made for both years I believe, all colors/options. (Although I think only 2006 were supposed to be made)
    2. They came back out with a new model. Model year 2016+ I believe
    3. With the new model, Ford ditched the V8 so they could complete in Le Mans again
    4. Because the V8 was gone and a TT V6 was in place, the market/powers that be thought this was sacrilegious, and thereby market prices shot way up because the 05/06 was the last V8. This ties with #3 above
    5. Different body design, although the 16+ models are sick, the 05/06 are capsulated to those two years. This ties with #1 above

If 17 is the last model year for the Viper because of the 2018 NHTSA regs for head constraints (side pillar air bags), then what happens to the Gen V Vipers value?

What if FCA redesigns the car to meet the NHTSA standard for 2018 and up because the market demands a newer model, and due to EPA regs, FCA has to ditch the V10?

    On another note:

Not driving your car is like not banging your girlfriend so you can save her for the next guy

Sub note: not my saying. I've just heard it before

LOL at all you guys keeping it in the garage.

I hope you don't wait 10-15 years only to finally pull it out and the windows fall down and the engine goes splat...

Never understood why somebody would buy the car for an investment....just buy a collectible to start with that has known value, then hold onto that...

    To each their own..

And you missed mine. This is the next Ford GT. Lmbooooo

6.0 Diablo cars doubled after 10-15 years. Only took 10 years for a gated F430 to reach 1/4 mill. Agreed that it's not an investment. Agreed that it's generally a depreciating asset. The purpose of the thread was to determine where guys are at more than 1/2 way into the production year.

I have 330mi in 3 weeks. At least get past the break in so that you can experience what your car is all about.

How is this for luck. My 17' showed up right before harvest so now it sits with 22 miles on it until I get done in about 5 more weeks.... 016.jpg
