Looking for Used 2016 ACR E

I'm in search of a used 2016 ACR-E for sale. Market looks pretty slim right now so I may be late to the party. I'm hoping some members may know of some cars for sale that are not actively listed or perhaps not on any of the major sites (auto trader/cars.com etc). I am not interested in any of the used units online with dealers asking $30K over MSRP etc when there are brand new ones that can be bought at sticker.

    Pretty flexible on colour combos.

    Thanks

I'm surprised supply is so thin - only saw 5 ACR's on CarGurus and 4 on eBay. There's a nice gray and red stripe one up at 170k on CG.

If it's the one I'm thinking of it was for sale a month ago for $124k down the road from the dealer who has it listed now. Would be a perfect car....at the old price.

With some new ones still available at MSRP, why not jump on one of those assuming you don't mind the available specs? I think finding a heavily discounted used one is going to be tough right now.

Buy new. For the money you will save on a used one, it's not worth it. You will get the full warranty and they also implemented a washing station for the blocks late in 2016. I would go for a new 17. If you decide you want to pull the trigger on a 16, I'm sure you will likely receive a PM from a member on here if you haven't already that's always ragging on Vipers that has one that he wants to sell.

Sorry guys, should have clarified I'm based in Canada so buying a new ACR out of the USA is not an option as dealers will not sell to us. And yes, I understand the warranty implications etc. I'm shopping in the $117-$123K range. I'm not here to start a value controversy, I've watched the market for the last 6 months and there are/were cars selling there...right now though things seem to be dry.

It's just a temporary drought. It's summer and these cars are new and people are driving them now but over the winter and next year they will be popping up for sale.

Not many used ones on the market right now to choose from. I think options will be limited moving forward as the car is almost completely sold out and very likely will be with respect to the dealers still charging MSRP by the end of the month. After that I'm sure the gouging will be absolutely unbelievable. Best of luck with your search.

I had been waiting on that for about 5 years now. Never seemed to come around and prices just kept moving higher.

Respectfully, I think we're in a different era these days. Money is flowing in from all parts of the world as the US is once again becoming known as the only destination and place to reach for if you have money. Europe has a problem with the refugee crisis, middle east oil is being phased out, growth in South America has stalled, and Asia has a madman nearby with nuclear capability.

We were once the envy of the world, with everyone wanting to come here for lack of any other good choices. Then in the 90's - 2010's, other industrialized nations began to compete and had a growth spurt (i.e. middle east and Indonesia). But, now it seems things are turning once again and the US is becoming the place to be.

This trend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

Just wait for interest rates to go up...it's coming.

Yes there is the price of cash but there are less than 2000 ACR-E's. It has 13 track records and for now, there is no known replacement in the future. If the majority of owners hold on to theirs, there is unlikely to be an oversupply. Doesn't take but a few cash buyers to create more demand than supply. There are more than a handful of cash buyers who will not be materially impacted by higher interest rates - Just take a look at the garage thread. Plenty of avid collectors have speculated on the ACR-E and my guess is that if the small increases we have seen constitute a bubble then the entire collectors market is hosed.

Where in Canada are you based? I know there's a few ACR-E's up here for sale, but you're right about the pricing. Good luck with your search!

Less than 2000, not to mention the ones that have been crashed, or have branded titles. All I can think every time I drive mine is this car is crazy!

SO REFRESHING TO SEE SOMEONE WITH A CLUE !! Exceptional post sir

it never ceases to amaze me how owners of certain cars want so desperately to devalue them WTH !?

yet other (lesser performing) cars ie *Porsche* have owners drinking the koolaid and therefore creating a frenzied sellers market

Cars are for fun, not investments:

If you got lucky they may have increased in value over the last few years. If not and the car one owns holds value, great... but at the end of the day (IMO) they should ultimately be bought as toys and if the notion of the value decreasing bothers someone then they should be rethinking their financial strategies.

if you knew me then you would know I couldn't care less what any of my cars are or will be worth. I buy/keep them for my own pleasure I just find it funny how certain (all criteria met) collectible cars are devalued by their own owners SMH
