    Glad I bought a T/A

I was on the fence about buying a T/A or Gen4 ACR. When I first layed eyes on a real life T/A at my friend Brian's house I was hooked. I looked for a while for a ACR but could not locate a unit. It was going to be cheaper but the T/A is on a better platform inside and out. My good friend down at Hendricks in Cary NC called and said they just got a black and orange T/A in so I stopped in. It took me a week and went back on 1-27-2014 and traded in my 2003 red SRT-10. I called and told them not to wash it or touch it. I did not want them to mess up the Preffix paint! I got good money for the trade and the deal went down like butter. I drove about 60 miles back home and loved it. Night and day to any Viper I have owned. 100% satisfied with the car's fit and finish. I saved every little paper that was in the process of buying the car and placed in a 3-ring binder like dealer swag, receipts, shipping manifest, window sticker, bar-code on corner windshield, and everything that came with the car. #92 out of 93 This is going to be a fun year!

You sir, are winning at life. Mighty fine collection of vehicles you got there. Pictures do no justice to the TA and how sick that color is in person. Enjoy it!

Congrats! As an 03 owner myself, I must say that was a nice 03 you had. How many miles were on it? If I were able to afford a Gen 5 , the orange T/A would be my choice as well.

Definitely a fine choice and from those with ACRs, I do think you will find the TA faster with a few minor mods. Love my ACR, but would love to get a TA ---- it is an incredible Snake.

Hey Jeremy, I'm very happy to see you get a TA! I can picture you smiling the entire 60 miles back to your shop! Can't wait to see it in person.

I like both of the orange cars best. I also have a hugger orange '69 Camaro. Cool seeing both oranges next to each other, I always figured their shades were closer than that.

    Congrats you self-spoiled brat!!

I have yet to see a TA in person, and remain confused by "what color Orange is a TA, really !?" Your pix show a range (on my screen anyway) of caramel orange to a buttery-yellow tinted orange. And the "true" orange of the Camaro just proves it! So does the true-to-experience RT and GTS alongside.

Your first indoor shot above is what I HOPE it looks like, but the next 4 shots make it look like a different color. I realize that lighting matters.....what does it look like, for real, in the sun?

I am very envious of your TA and Camaro....... I miss my 69 Boss 302..THAT was ORANGE!

Love it! We all know that thing kills it on the track but what do you think of it on the street? How is the noise and ride compared to your Gen3 or Gen2 GTS? I am interested in picking up a Gen5 but am very torn between a T/A and GTS.

Everything I have read shouts 'track performance' on the TA vs the more plush GTS. Much stiffer springs, stiffer valving on BOTH select-ride choices, and stiff-sidewalled CORSA tires. No fancy leather interior, just contrast orange stitching and ballistic nylon seat inserts. Upgraded TA brake rotors, (Heavier Brembo not Lighter StopTech) and a performance-alignment standard.

I believe the TA seats are manual-adjust only...not power. I hope a real TA owner, and not a wannabbee like me will chime in.

Grab a couple beers and read much more here: www.driveSRT/viper

Here is a GTS Review slanted toward tracking: http://www.allpar.com/reviews/13/viper.html
