Anyone going for breakfast before hitting the track on Friday morning? I don't think the local bodega opens so early, so it will have to be outside.

Awesome time!!! I did both days I'm tired LOL. Thanks to Steve and everyone that worked with NASA to have the Viper pit setup. The group leaders told me that the Vipers increased the average speed on the track. Joe from NASA had nothing but great things to say about the Viper group. Hope we get to back soon.

You mean Saturday. I was thinking of staying because the weather was so perfect, but I needed a bit of rest because I have a super busy schedule in September and October - going to a track day at NJMP with Hooked On Driving on September 9th, then to VOA Lobster Roll trip September 14th-17th, then to a Bentley event in upstate September 29th - October 1st, then to a track day at NY Safety Track on October 8th, then to a 3-day track weekend at Watkins Glen October 13th-15th. Somehow in the middle of all of this I have to make it to Chuck's to change the oil, diff fluid, install rear camber plates and a diff cooler. Oh yeah, and while I am doing all that, I still have to work full time and take care of my family .

Sorry, meant Saturday. I'm going to try for Watkins Glen on the 10/13 - 10/15. BTW, thanks for the advice on rotating my fronts. I pushed it really hard yesterday....I'm amazed what this ACR does on a track. Below is what my front looked like at the end of the day yesterday. Not bad for three full Auto-X days and ten 20 minute sessions at Limerock. I will have new shoes for Watkins for sure.

    Tony,

The good thing is you did not overheat them, so you don't have blistering and compound separation. In other words, your tires did better than Steve's

Looking at my crystal ball though, I see this in your future:

    HOOSIER-LOGO.png

I hope you can make the Glen - it's an amazing track and our cars are well suited for it since aero really starts working at higher speeds. A bit easier on tires too.

A big Thanks to Steve for hooking us up! It was a great time with all our Viper brethren in the paddock.

We definitely had great representation amongst all the groups. Guessing the average track time went up when Steve was out in the ACR :-)

The weather couldn't have been any better and was extra special to come back to the Viper hospitality in the paddocks. Everyone made it back sunny side up, so you know it's a good day.

Mike, Dennis told me to tell you to watch out for the marbles on downhill. ;-)

Thanks all for taking the pix, will try to upload some this week.

Yes, thank you Steve and Ed! Awesome day!

Echoing the sentiment above, thank you Steve and Ed for organizing such a great day.

I spent Sunday cleaning up the results of what can only be described as "bug genocide"

    Great pics guys

Great day everyone you guys were amazing.I kept getting compliments on our group and how well everyone was doing .

We had somewhere around 18 car and we all left without a scratch. That's my first concern always . Second is that we all have fun and hopefully we accomplished that . Third but not least we learn something that hopefully will make us safer on track and the street.

    Amazing job everyone

Thanks Matt! Dennis is the reason red cars get bad names. But because of Dnnis's stellar driving and impeccable line I got a really good instructor on the last run that helped me get faster around the track!

Mike, I would be happy to do a ride along next time to give you a few pointers😀
I'll help you find that line and stay out of the marbles!

For those of you not subscribed to the NASA NE mailing list, here are the pics from both days:

    Friday:
    HPDE 2: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-6-1
    HPDE 3: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-6-2
    HPDE 4: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-6-3
    Hyperdrive: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-6-4

    Saturday
    HPDE 2: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-7-1
    HPDE 3: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-7-2
    HPDE 4: http://bit.ly/nasa2017-7-3

Fair warning: Looks like the photo outfit (Wind Shadow) studios are trying to rip everyone off, charging $50 (yes, FIFTY BUCKS) for EACH high-res photo of your car. This is roughly double of what others charge and the quality of pics is not that great. Nevertheless, check them out.

Dennis while you were BEHIND me (all day) I saw you searching for the line. Did you ever find it? 😂

I have to agree with you. I thought I could get all my photos for $50 but the I realized it was per photo. 😮

    It's highway robbery.

Next track day I'll see if I can bring our own photographer. Unless Lime Rock is getting paid under the table by Wind Shadow studios to not allow other photographers to some areas due to "safety reasons". I have seen that happen in a few places. Very petty and pathetic.

Dennis, spoke with the NASA crew at the end of the say Saturday. They said that based on the "slow Red Viper" this year, they're going to create a new run group next, it's HPDE-00 just for you.
