    New Gen II owner

Hey everyone, picked up a 2002 RT/10 a few months ago and heard about this place from another member that i met at a cars & coffee. This is my first Viper but i've driven many in the past and told myself i'd eventually get one. I found mine in Ohio with a full service history by a viper tech since day 1, i was holding off for a GTS but this deal was too good to pass up. I've always been into cars, i've got a 600hp 2002 Camaro, i've had a CTS-V, C6Z, C5Z among other cars. I think i'll hang on to this one for a while.

Congratulations on a great looking car! The Viper is a unique car and always gets lots of attention! Enjoy!

    Congrats and Welcome!

Get ready for an entire different car ownership experience with the snake.
I hope you're ready for all the attention you will attract when out and about LOL.

Ha, yeah the attention is pretty ridiculous and shocking at first but i've gotten used to it now. I've taken it to a few meets so far and it's been a positive experience, the car itself is pure raw fun. I haven't really pushed it to the limit yet because i'm still learning the car and i don't want to get bit I also signed up to be a VOA member today so i'm looking forward to everything the membership has to offer, thanks for the welcome!

Take it from a fellow previous C5/6 vette owner, you never realize how much traction control made you FEEL like a good driver. You're going about it the right way. Learn the car and don't drive it like you did your vettes... unless you've got skills like that already. The torque is soooo much fun ! I'm assuming you have a fresh set of rubber on her and BTW... this is a great forum to learn about the ins / outs about the Gen 2. Let the modding fever begin!

Congratulations. That Snake looks really awesome. Do you have a hard top?

Thank you, yes i have the double bubble hardtop and the toupee soft top. Not sure what my stance is on mods thus far, it already has a Corsa cat-back, stage 5 Spec clutch and short shifter. I might start off with Gen-5 wheels and possible brake upgrade.

Soft top fits in the trunk? Double bubble I assume does not.

Soft top barely fits in the trunk, it has to go in a specific way and it leaves you with zero trunk space so i did the obvious thing and stored it in the attic. Hard top stays on unless i'm going to a night meet or cruising at night because it's way too hot in SC.
