    Stock Gen V Dyno Runs

I'm going to be installing a full Belanger exhaust system and measuring the before and after of a few parameters.

The photo and video below are of my TA on the dyno. It was a hot and humid day, but the readings are pretty much right where I'd expected them to be with ~15% loss.

I notice a consistent "torque hole" on the graphs that I don't feel on the road. Anybody else have dyno charts off unmodified Gen V cars? Post them!

I don't have a stock run, but mine made 600whp with full catted belangers on HP Tuners.

    Before tune, after tune.

Curious to see how yours does!viper dyno.jpg

    ViperPete,

Who tuned your car on the HPT? Also I'm assuming you mean headers and exhaust when you say "full catted" setup. Anything else done to your car UD Pulley, DSE heat Shield etc?

91 or 93 pump gas? I cant make out the pre and post numbers/gains.

Pete those mid/low rpm gains are insane, that must feel like a completely different animal on the street?

Bryan are you going to tune? Arrow, HP?

For now, I'm just going to bolt on the exhaust and see what it does. I'm measuring horsepower, torque, heat, fuel mileage, weight, and decibel levels for a before/after video comparison.

After reporting back on all of that, I may consult the counsel on a "tune".

Burnyzz in Ocala FL. They really did an amazing job. I was in and out in about 2 hours. 91 Octane i think... or was it 93? I cant remember. Only mods on the car are Belanger headers and Belanger Cat back, also i got the heat shield from Woodhouse. I wrote up an extensive "how to" on the header install if you ever considered putting them on yourself:

Here is also a video of the car on the dyno... very loud and very hot standing next to the car lol

Also here is a video of the car and you can hear the exhaust:

The header install was the most enjoyable header install i have ever completed on a car. The Viper is extremely well thought out and as long as you take your time, the install will go smoothly.

Completely. The car pulls so much harder now. The sound is much better too.

I went with HP tuners because tuning the car doesn't void the warranty as the Arrow PCM does. My car has the 10 year 100k Powertrain warranty.

I actually wish it had more power down low. It comes alive at 4k rpm but below that it isn't that satisfying.... Thinking a procharger within a year.

I believe they can still trace back and tell that you had tuning done.

You're probably right. Car needs a diff. Ordered under warranty. I suspect having a good relationship with my dealership helps too.

If they dug deep enough, they'd be able to figure it out, but they'd really have to know what they were looking at.
