Where have I heard this before

    https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-...turing-defect/

Sound familiar? Improperly machined sand casted heads leeching sand into motor, FCA blames consumers and refuses warranty repair. (For now)
Maybe they can borrow the Viper cleaning station now that it's no longer in use.

The writer of that article sounds like she is totally clueless about automobiles and engineering, or perhaps it comes directly from the lawyers' lawsuit. She repeatedly uses the term, "radiator defect" when it is a head casting defect.

Anyway, it would be interesting to find out who cast and built the heads.

edit: A little Jeep forum research indicates that earlier than 2012 blocks also had an issue with casting sand left in the blocks since they were made with the sand cast method before changing to die casting for 2012.

    Gotta love Chrysler quality control.

Notice how many of these issues started after Fiat got involved?

    I don't think its a coincidence.

Perhaps I don't understand this method well enough. Is the block washing station that was talked about with the Gen Vs exactly what it sounds like? A station in the process where the part is rinsed with a large volume (and some pressure) of liquid to rinse off debris? Is that it?

Shady. Guess they didn't wanna end up in bankruptcy again so they pulled a shifty. I heard and decided a consumer protection case brought against an auto manufacturer (not fca) as Arbitrator not too long ago. This case will be one to follow.
