Has anyone taken the sills off their car and added extra heat shielding or other ways to keep the heat down on the sills from the exhaust?
Just looking at making the sills cooler and ways and means of doing so.
Cheers

This has been covered a couple times
Nick - if you're talking Gen II - Dan Cragin (SPT) helped sort this on my car (2000 ACR).
- Installed Header Heat Shields
- Removed resignators
- Added Inconel side sill heat shields
- Painted the inside of the sills with high tempeture paint
- Added side sill exhaust cooling screens
Before the work the car was cat-less (Belanger headers with Borla bullet mufflers in the sills). We added high flow cats for CA smog reasons which obviously added heat to the sills. Dan also reprogrammed the engine controlled to ensure calibration for the cats as not to run as rich (as it did cat-less). You may want to talk to Dan about recommendations on your car.
Hope this helps.
I think hes talking about a 2010 ACR
Yes I'm specifically looking to work on my 2010 ACR, thanks for the tips some of that could crossover I think.
