Manual, naturally aspirates, RWD, non-active aero, etc...etc...it's identity politics! ;-)

Do any of these times matter anymore with the advent of factory super cars going 15 seconds faster? Unless you're going to sub categorize every car like fastest yellow manual on Tuesday.....who really cares about being 9th place.

Didn't the Lamborhinis and Porsches use racing slicks?? The viper stuck to the rules and went for the lap record with DOT street approved tires.

I would be really curious what the viper could do around the ring with slicks!

Probably the fact that the cars were not "Factory". There were some clutch mods and some other stuff that I forget.
No biggie though. The 7:12 Gen IV ACR wasn't stock either.

Carbon clutch and both cars had balanced and blueprinted engines...Nothing stock about both cars.
