Are the hubs on the ACR special to that model or will hubs off any gen V work?

According to the latest Facebook post the Dakota hubs are the same, which I think means any Gen IV or V will work.

I bought a Viper ACR but knew nothing about them other than they looked badass and I'm a speed junkie. I collected Mopars in the 80's and 90's having owned a 63 Max Wedge Plymouth, 66 426 Hemi HP2 Belevedere and also a 67 Dodge Coronet WO23 Superstock which I donated to the Peterson museum. It's still a part of their permanent collection. One thing I learned along the way was to befriend people who knew a lot more than me about certain collector autos in which I had an interest. I have learned a lot from this group and thank them for helping me better understand the Viper. I love the car.
What I don't understand is the constant arguing, put downs, name calling etc. What brings us together is a love of the Viper. Aren't we supposed to be helping each other?? Sure, we'll have different opinions but we should learn from another point of view. It's getting to where I think twice before posting anything. Soon, I will just stop all together unless something changes in the way we treat other.
I also collect Porsche's and belong to 3 Forums. There its none of this attitude there. I think everyone need's to rethink why they joined the Association and strive to respect other points of view.
99Vipers Is the average broke troll that has a poster of a Viper and that's all he'll ever have.

All he posts is useless hate.

Congrats 🎈 to all those picking up ACRs and even lowly SRTs

I don't do Facebook, but if someone will have Russ contact me they can have the hubs off my ACR, if they think there is a way to get them there in time. They would come from Phoenix. They can just replace them later. Chrysler replaced both of my uprights a few months ago due to another issue (rotor to upright clearance), and the uprights came with the hub and lower ball joint as an assembly. Just tell me what you need. What is their failure mode? On my car there was not enough clearance between the back of the studs holding the hat to the rotor and the upright "leg" that held the emergency brake caliper. I broke a rotor (CCB) as a result. My new uprights are clearanced for that.

This hub looks to be normal stock item at any parts house, I think a good shipping hookup is probably the hardest thing to find on a weekend to get the part there in time. If someone lives near a major DHL hub and could get it there, it might save the day.

His posted email is roasis@aol.com. I believe they are trying to find parts already in Europe, but really not sure, as I'm just a casual observer.

The US hub is in Plantation, Fl (Miami). The hub in Germany is in Leipzig, 504 KM East of Nurburgring.

Edit: DHL Express Head Office in Plantation is closed on weekends.

To be honest if they need the hubs by Monday they may have to pay someone to carrier the parts by hand via an airline ticket. We have done it in aviation before.

Since we both have GTS-R's was thinking of copying the Ring car graphics let me know if you or other owners want to do this and we could do a group buy of the graphics.

The key graphic which is missing will be the record lap time

Plantation is not in Miami. Plantation is west of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Getting back on topic.......Interesting that the Hubs seem to be failing on the ACR. Of course we know that the Ring is a long track and that the ACR is putting down an immense amount of downforce in which extreme force is added to by the curved banking at some parts of the circuit.

Wonder if there is going to be a Hub upgrade for current ACR owners as a result of this? I also find it interesting that this problem has not come to light from other owners who currently track their cars and of course the testing and various lap records that Dodge broke with the ACR in the USA?

Im sure some people know about it, but although dodge markets the acr as a track vehicle they would never warranty one that is tracked

I believe someone from that side of the pond is bringing 1 hub and Prefix is flying over others according to Facebook. Lotta updates for those on FB.

Those unit bearing hubs are hit and miss, regardless of bearing make or car make. I've had those assemblies last 30,000 kms and the next set go 200,000 kms in my 1 ton and since it's my main money maker - keep 2 on the shop shelf for it My srt10 rams originals failed at 40,000 kms, meanwhile my jeep srt8's hubs are fine at 140,000 kms.

I wouldn't say that with 100% certainty. Even if that were true, which I personally doubt, they would have to know it's been tracked. I've brought my car in for warranty work with tire sausages still hanging off of it from the track. The tech found it amusing, but never made a note of it in the 2 page essay FCA requires him to write, to detail and substantiate any repair......

I'm sure theres no particular inherent rear hub problem. Not knowing exactly what the drivers are experiencing, a lot of us know there already is a rear end wiggle on the track on hard braking. Being professional drivers and pushing the car as hard as they are doing Dominik and Luca may be feeling this even more given the track is as long as it is. I believe there was a similar issue with the last gen where they felt they had to extra tighten the bolts on the hubs to minimise this. I guess they are just trying to cover all angles and see if new hubs make a difference. It's very possible it won't of course and so they will just deal with it as drivers.

I'll consider it if they break the record

Dodge isn't financing this, so why would they, especially for a car going out of production?
