Questions I am ordering a viper tomorrow

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone's doing good. I'm finally where I need to be in life to be able to afford my dream car and am going to dodge to order a Viper ACR tomorrow. This has always been my dream car since I was about 8 years old. I am 6'4 and about 275 pounds. Are there any other viper owners here that have a similar stature? I heard that you can buy lowered fixtures for the seat. Has anybody had any experience with them?
Also... I heard through the grapevine that the audio system in the ACR is pretty nonexistent. Is there anybody that could give me a little feedback on that and maybe anything that I should know about dealing with the salesman? Also... are there any owners in the Boston area? I would love to make some new friends with similar interests and maybe go out riding. Thanks in advance.

Ordering banks have been closed for a while and will not re-open. You will need to find an inventory car somewhere. You will also need a seat lowering kit to fit. They are awesome cars, but finding a new one is going to get very hard.

As mentioned the orders have been shut down for some time now. I missed the 16 orders and was ready to go when the 17 opened. There's still some inventory out there. Im 6'4" and fit well enough. I'm still going to do a seat lowering kit, mostly to improve my view of stoplights. If you buy a ACR it will have the three speaker system, which is horrible. I have an ACR-E that I ordered with the 12 speaker system and then upgraded it to the 18. The upgrade kit is almost impossible to find. Good luck with your search, it's well worth it.

Weird, because I talked to the head sales guy at the dealership and he told me that they were still doing it. Thanks for the info though.

Any specific combo your looking for? The eyes and ears of the forum can be your best friend during a search. The big three dealers can also help you.

You've made a great decision, but unfortunately time is running out on the ability to get a (new) one. Orders were shut down in December, with a small allocation batch (estimated at 40) opening up in February (of which none were ACR and no SRT hoods). To give you an idea of sales pace, we went from the 40's available to 20 as of Friday in just 3 weeks. Sadly, this really is the end.

As an aside, there's no doubt that virtually all of your questions regarding "interior fitments" have been asked and answered before. A quick search on "seat lowering" returns a good 5 recent threads. So "search" will be your best friend for a while.

One is a TA 1.0 Option Group in Hyper Green ( check that wild color out on a Jeep Wrangler), as well as a Brass Monkey colored GTC with the Aero Package and the Ceramic Blue custom interior ( no worries there is nothing blue in the interior , just so cool upgrades ).

Stripes are actually GoMango ( orange), but like so many photobooths, some colors come out differently. It looks great and the orange stitching and highlights in the interior are smoking!!

Agreed, Jon. Seen a 911 done in a similar color so decided to go for broke and do a wild one. Has the TA interior , but upgraded to the 18 speaker Harman Kardon. Hopefully it will be here in July!?

We now have only two cars left ( incoming). A Hyper Green TA 1.0 Option Group GTC ( as noted) and a Brass Monkey colored car with the Aerodynamic Group. Both at MSRP , of course. Last I chatted with John at Roanoke , I believe he is sold out.
