Unhappy Viper ACR Smashed in Parking lot Austin

My buddy spotted this Viper ACR sitting in a parking lot in Austin. Not sure if it was a hit and run, or if it was towed and left here. Given the pieces still laying on the floor I'd guess hit and run.

Does this belong to anyone on here?

    That hurts to see.

What are the chances the parking garage has cameras? Many of them do.

Bit and run is no joke. It goes from an "oops" and an insurance claim to to felony. At least here in AZ is does.

Almost looks deliberate, looks like the owner parked at an angle to prevent any damage too. That would really suck to come out and find this, nearly makes me sick the longer I look at it.

    OOOOOUUUUUCH!!!!
Somebody is gunna be reeeeeaaaaally pissed when he/she sees this. It looks like the car was parked at an angle and at the end of a row so no one can park on either side. Maybe there's some cameras in there and the authorities can find the jug head that did it.
That is very saddening and maddening at the same time

I was thinking it looked like he parked at an angle, but also thought "What if he was parked straight and the car who hit him pushed him into that angle"

Looks like a note on the windshield, I know a lot of people get pissed if you park and take up 2 stalls. Maybe they are legit by leaving a contact.

As mentioned on FB. The owner just got the car, was in a movie and a lady hit the car. She left her contact info.

I wonder if the car will be totaled. There are no splitters or canards and some of the underhood pieces have been discontinued (NS1). There are no 6 vent hoods either (if his was damaged).

Feel really feel horrible for the new owner...Seriously though why would anybody leave their Viper and go to a movie??? A Viper in a parking garage is asking for trouble. Take your Honda or crapwagon instead....I never leave mine out of my sight when it's out and about...

Dittos! Eyes on the Viper. Always.

    Really limits where we go.

Note to self...NEVER take the Viper to the movies!!! I feel bad for the owner of that car. I'm sure he must have had a stroke when he came out to see that. Talk about a bad day!

    That's a sick color!

I almost got rear-ended by a idiot pizza delivery man on his cell phone -GPS!! I was lucky. What a pain in the ... if he had hit me .He would have , if I had not seen and heard him lock up his brakes. My road rage peaked, however, some how I remained cool.

Yes, I never park in the end spots because I know how bad people are. There are some seriously autistic drivers in this world. This is just terrible.

Awful. At least they left a note. I've been less fortunate with people doing hit-and-run on my vehicles. Is that Comp Blue, or a 1-of-1 color?

Crap she must have hit it with some real force to move it like that and tear the body away. That's a great shame I do hope it can be fixed but even so knowing your car isn't perfect anymore still hurts even after the repair.

that car was parked crooked like that/ it would take a dump truck to move it and a trip to the hospital from the driver folks

Got hit while I was at the movies in the daily driver. Guy hung around, we exchanged info and all was good. When he left, an undercover cop pulled up and said the guy was a d*bag. The cop witnessed him hit me and leave. Cop followed him for five miles then pulled him over and "suggested" he return to the scene. That ACR breaks my heart.

Yep. No tread marks on the cement floor. Parked that way.

VERY lucky for that cop to be there.

What a punk for trying to leave, he's lucky he didn't get charged with that crime. Anyone that hits a parked car should have their licence pulled indefinitely, just image the issues they will have with other moving cars.
