I've often wondered which is correct. Or if there is a right or wrong. I seems that the earlier years of Gen 2's were always body color. But 00-02 came either body color or Silver. Except Yellow which seems to be always Yellow. Was there a reason?

Thanks! I thought bidy color was correct. I see alot of silver or chrome scripts around inline but not so much body color. Now the question is to track down the correct oem scipts if that is even possible.

Did you notice it says black is no longer available?

I did not. Reading back over I see that now. I guess ill buy a dark color and just have them sprayed black when I respray the bumpers or start searching for black on ebay or another viper parts stores.

Um. Don't think they are paintable in the normal sense. I do have a pair of NOS black hood logos if you can't find any.

This is a 99 so from what i have seen on others they were black. The ones currently on the car look like they have been replaced with chrome versions. There was some goofy "hotrod custom" additions that the original owner upgraded the oem with.

The chrome is just to flashy for my taste ... plus they are starting to peel off on the bumper.

I dont know whats is right or wrong but the painted body color versions look better imho.

Odd that in one breath you call the hotrod custom emblems "goofy,", and in the next breath call them an "upgrade."

One more notch in my personal cane that most OEM parts that are removed from a car and replaced with something else, are not actually an upgrade.

Rant done. Let me know if you are interested in my stash.

Im glad that the fine art of sarcasm isnt lost on the great wide web, lol. Def not an upgrade unless your into bumper mount deer whistles and stick on hood vents.

I have found another source of black script ob ebay. From the pics the quality looks good. I might order a set to see how they look. They appear to be raised font. Set contains both hood and rear bumper script.

Seller is LS Auto Specialty. Not sure if anyone has bought and used these before or what the quality is like.

The other option if you are not wanting to deplete Dave's stockpile would be send an email to Jon at Parts Rack to see if he has a stash. (He doesn't put everything he has in stock onto his website. http://www.viperpartsrack.com/index....mation/contact
