    New wrapping option

I had new product called proline with autoflex clear coat professionally installed this week. I did a version of balloon white. Satin white pearl.

This stuff is really cool. Sprayed on and clear coat that requires an activator goes on top. Its very thick 6 mil plus. Coating acts like paint until you want it off. Clear coat can be treated just like painted clear. Washable, Sandable, waxable, and gas resistant. Cermic coat it if you want.

Available in any color or sheen (including color shift)and half the cost of vinyl ($1500 installed)...gloss is $500 more.

Indistinguishable from paint. No vinyl or clear bra seams. Gloss only can be done in place of a clear bra.

I do not sell or have any stake in this product. Just wanted to make you aware before you do an expensive wrap or clear bra.

    Sample peel...

Wow that's sweet! I would love to throw a layer on without spending 5K+ on a wrap which I just cant justify.

Yeah... the only draw back i can see right now is the occasional blem in the coating ginish similar to what you see with any repaint. Vinyl will allow perfect 'finish'. I am sure this all varies with the painter's skill and getting use to the install. I am 100% happy with the results especially for how cheap it is. I'll photo the blems for reference.

I assume this is reversible somehow (which is the benefit of vinyl)??? If not, what differentiates this from painting? I'm sure someone would clear coat your car for $1,500.

    Yes reversible.

Your pics look very good, but I can't see the attachments with the flaws.

I can't believe that's all they would charge? That seems like less then the cost for labor and materials. I had my comp coupe wrapped a few months ago, the materials were over $2500.

Keep us posted as time goes on. If it remains on good, color doesn't fade, peel, etc., etc. then that's quite a bargain. Good luck! Mike

I googled it and it sounds like OP is talking about two different products, Proline by DipYouCar and Autoflex. Perhaps this is using both of the two different products; but, my quick research seems to imply they are each a different product line, layered system, with Autoflex being the more high end professional's product, and Proline being a little easier to apply. I wonder if this is what I have been seeing on some high end cars at Cars and Coffee shows. I hadn't heard of it before today.

You are correct. This is NOT plastidip. Looks as good as the pics show.

Autobody shop that installs it in a booth. The wheels are "bronze chrome" google bronze chrome powder coat wheels for tons of pics in different lighting.

Would this be an alternative to a clear bra? Picking up a TA 2.0 soon and would love to have the entire car done for the same price as Xpel basic.

Yes. Gloss autoflex clear coat can be done at a fraction of the cost and no seams.

I'd like to know if the clear coating would hold up to track use. I've been considering this coating for a year.
