    Mobil 1 0w40 Sale

Not sure if all Walmarts have this sale going, but my local store has 0w-40 Mobil 1 5 quart jugs on sale for $22.80 right now. That's the best price I've seen in quite a while. Just picked up a few.

Mobil1 has a rebate going on also for M1. Walmart isnt listed as a retailer but people still have gotten their rebates despite that.

That's what I got it for last time I think. It didn't say it was a sale price, like no big signs to that effect, but it's a killer deal.

Also, for all intents and purposes, oil should last a while if we stock up, right? I mean within reason. Say a year to 2? Anyone know for sure?

The signs in the store were Walmart's "rollback price".

I've always heard two years or more in an unopened/ sealed container.

Bought all 4 jugs from my local Walmart. I think I only step foot in Walmart for oil nowadays.

with the oil prices tanking in the last couple years, took them forever to lower motor oil prices to an appropriate level

M1's website says shelf life on the oil is 5 years for unopened

Cool, thanks for the info on storage.

Hopefully they run the price for a while. I think their "rollback price" is different than a sale till the 23rd or something. I'm no expert though on their pricing

Thanks for the heads up on prices. I think I'll go grab some

Are you splitting up the purchases on separate receipts if going the route of the M1 rebate? It's my understanding that the rebate amount is only good for a purchase, regardless of quantity.

according to the mobil 1 website, you can do up to 2 - not bad for us!

Eligible oil products can be purchased together on one (1) receipt or purchased separately and, if submitted by mail, must be combined in one (1) envelope. Limit two (2) rebates per household, regardless of rebate amount and regardless of submission method. Each rebate request received by mail must contain original rebate form and original receipt(s). Rebate requests submitted online must contain a legible image of the receipt including date of purchase, store name, participating products, purchase price and total purchase amount. Rebate eligible for in-stock items only. Limited to purchases made at participating retailers; excludes online purchases made at Amazon.com. Rebate not valid on oil change services. All rebate requests must be postmarked by June 30, 2017, and received by July 14, 2017. All online submissions must be completed by 11:59:59 p.m. CST

Murpowa, I bought 3, 5 qt. 15-50 jugs yesterday and then went on-line to get the rebate. On the site allows you up 2 rebates. So on the $69 plus tax on 3 jugs, I'll get $24 back. (Rebate takes 6-8 weeks).

Thank you for participating in the Mobil™ Retail Spring 2017 rebate offer.

We are processing your rebate request. If there are no problems please allow approximately six to eight weeks for shipment of your rebate check following verification of all required rebate documentation.

SA Heat, thanks again for making us all aware. The sign in the store made it look like the $22.88 was $3.00 off.

Folks, Walmart is consistently the best priced place to get the 5 qt jugs of Mobil 1

FTN, thanks again for making us all aware of the rebate!!!

Thanks for the Rebate info, just submitted for $24 back. Didn't even know this rebate was available but went last weekend to get oil for a change this week and saw the $22.98 price and was pretty happy. Factor in the $24 rebate and this ends up the cheapest oil change in a long time!!!

I also submitted online for my 2 jugs from walmart. It isn't on the list or retailers so I guess we'll see if the rebate comes back.

The rebate site says "Some" participating resellers include... So that list isn't all inclusive. I can't see them excluding Walmart from their reseller list with how much volume they do...
