I keep telling you. I am the nicest guy you've ever spoken to and to prove it and because I feel so bad for stealing your VooDoo I will swap you straight across for the GT. I will even personally drive the VooDoo down to Texas to do the swap and pay all the expenses. I realize that this is a better deal for you but I am willing to eat the value difference because I am soooo nice. You know you want the VooDoo more plus it will be faster on the track than that slow ass GT so you might as well do the deal and make yourself happy... HAHAHA.

I see in the pics that it has a big box sitting in the front seat. Jerry was telling me he had a ton of stuff to go with it and wasn't sure if he could get everything in to the car. I cant believe you got it out of BC driving it without a plate on. I'm amazed they didn't impound the car and fine you with a bunch of BS tickets. The cops in BC are not known to have a sense of humour and they have some different laws out there. Must be on account of they are all stoned all day...LOL. BC bud is FAMOUS..

The importer was a pro we had all of our paperwork in order and then some. We didn't expect the seller to pull the plates, but he did so we didn't have much of a choice. The cop that stopped him has udnerstanding once he saw all of the paperwork and let him through no problem.

Yes I got a bunch of extras with the car. Everything made it on the transporter and is on the way. Very fortunate as far as logistics are concerned.

Awesome! The Ford GT will be my next car - trying to catch the train before it gets too expensive!!! You and the other GT owners out there are very lucky!

Glad to be of help with the 'other' JohnB......... John Bryce has exported 2 Vipers for us, and imported 8 bodies. Always excellent service. He got hooked on Vipers by a pace car ride with me in 1997, and has been an owner ever since. He got his FGT from Bernie Katz.....ironic that his GT came from TX to NW and yours comes from NW to TX.

In his profession he is ideally-suited to be a perfectionist. I knew he would be DA MAN to move your GTS

They got it down and parked it in his personal garage at his house.

Him and his son even hand washed it for me today before it was loaded on the truck, can't beat that for customer service.

Thanks for all the kind words guys I'll update the thread when it gets here.

    Jon,

That guy delivered and then some! Him and his son kept me constantly updated with cell phone pictures, and texts to let me know everything was on track. Excellent communication for paperwork before he picked it up, and he even rushed home on Sunday to wash it for me before it was loaded up on the passport truck. He even took a video of it loading up that he is sending later today.

That's customer service! Jon thanks again for your reccomendation!

Is the car a "4 option"? Super car to own, the best Ford has ever put on the road, congrats.

    3 option, no Macintosh.

That is rare 3 option. Mac delete?

Make sure you get original sticker and factory sheets from Ford, if not with the car. I once bought a GT that everyone including me would have sworn was a 4 option. A mega millionaire bought it at BJ and sent it back to Ford and had stripes and upgraded wheels put on it.

Does not matter if no option or 4 , it is GT.

I have the build sheet and extensive documentation on it, and it is correct. The seller mentioned it having something to do with it being a canadian market car. Has the forged wheels, calipers, and stripe package.

Great. Stream of consciousness thoughts .

The bottom of car is almost complete sealed making oil changes a chore. A zillion rivets . If you are missing any, I have extras. 5/50 motor craft . I think 9 quarts. Don't get Ford oil filter. Very expensive and made by Mann. You can get the Mann exact same filter for 2/3s less on eBay.

Basically a pretty uncomplicated car. Any thing serious happens call "The GT Guys" in Detroit. 2 techs who built the car at Ford. They travel the country working on GTs.

The GT guys. Sounds like they cornered the market. Lol. We built them. We'll come to you and fix them. Haha

Thanks Brother I'll introduce myself on the GT forum once I take delivery, but I have been reading up on a lot of the things you are talking about.

I wrench quite a bit and have a two post lift so not worried about getting under the car.

I really wish Ford would enter the super car market again. It would make the Viper-Corvette game more interesting.

I'm sure I could be persuaded to sell it at some point, to many cars, too little time. Is it bad that I want to try them all lol.

Sell it .....dont do it ...ever! Most any car can be replaced down the road. The FGT is one that you really cant. There is nothing quite like it and the more new cars change the more timeless the FGT becomes.

I can see the dilemma with driving it though. Cant rack up the miles but at the same time I am sure you will want to. You will just have to get in that 'old' ACR to get your fix.....problem solved.

Congrats man! Great car you invested in there! Maybe you could talk my wife into "letting" me get another vehicle! I use quotations because letting simply means KEEPING THE PEACE....
