Another Great weekend with Supercar friends and Viper members,
Neil, myself and the girls decided to book into a Hotel next to the castle to make a weekend, after arriving and unpacking we then drove a short distance to the Village of Hollingbourne, where we found a very nice gastropub called the Windmill for lunch. The rear carpark was rather full so when the Pub owner invited us to park at the front of the pub we obliged.
After a lovely meal we returned to the Hotel where the hotel staff also invited us to park close to the reception so they could keep an eye on the cars.
There was a wedding reception taking place at the Hotel and many of the guests posed with the cars for photos.
We had planned to use the leisure facilities in the Hotel but somehow "Champagne" got in the way of our plans
Later in the Evening we were joined by some friends, a couple from Belgium in a White C4 Corvette and Brett and Kerensa with their Black ZO6, More food and drinks
The next morning we drove the short 1/4 mile distance to the Castle grounds and were directed to the Supercar enclosure. This was great as once the show officially opened it was mainly families with young kids leaning onto and touching the cars! With our area closed off to close contact we could relax and not worry about the cars. Sam Stockman another VOA member also joined us, bringing his white ZO6 Corvette.
The show was a two day event but we decided to go on the Sunday, We had teamed up with Supercar club (Drivers Union)
Free entrance, free all areas access including castle tour, Battle of Britain experience, Maze, and Bird of prey display, Live music, VIP Secure car enclosure and Hospitality marquee (just for us) serving fruit juices, Coffee and British Tea, cut sandwiches and biscuits, Sadly most of the day was overcast but the Sun finally broke through in the last hour to finish off the weekend
Enjoy a few pictures
