The downforce is increased from 278 to 400 at 150mph neither is super significant.

Bruce, I'm definitely not downplaying the TA for track as again my point is most won't even reach a normal viper limit. The brakes are outstanding and last long, no wrenching needed and it's great for the track but so is any gen V. I would not buy an acre but I do think it's the dwfinitive choice for a true track purpose viper which was my point.

Vipersrt you misread my sentence. I stated one has to analyze track use and it's costs. Again, if one is going to use as a track vehicle primary it makes sense to go that route. If it's not then people really need to factor in the costs of brakes, tires, etc along with the streetability issues of suspension, etc.

Arguing over what TA is faster is moot because it's down to the driver. 2.0 has slightly better downforce but I wouldn't say it's significant. Suspension is the same. Nowhere have I read or heard anyone mention 2.0 having revised tuning. They are the same car. Same brakes same tires and suspension

Terminator it was this sentence that lead to the suspension question.
"Unless you had a full TA 1.0 car, your gts didn't come with the refined suspension and different brakes like a TA 1.0."

All group and package TAs had the full suspension. Only advanced aero did not. That was why I did not understand what was meant by "full 1.0 TA" and made me question if they made a change (I was not aware of any).

As for ACR and high track use. Many may find brakes (if carbon were ordered) and tires will be a high cost for the benefits. Getting a few seconds (which is huge I understand) for an extra thousand or more a weekend is out of my price range.

I expect some ACRs to be up for sale after people have had enough time in them to understand how rough 600 and 1200 lb/in springs feel (vs 240/600 in the TA).
Gen V ACR's are approaching the end of their 2nd year in production and have been in owners' hands since 2015. i've yet to see any major flood of used models on the secondary market.
Some? Sure...no more than any other Viper model.

Heh I feel like I am just poor phone writing. I meant I didn't think your previous gts car could have the full TA options. Aero, yes. I don't think any gts cars outside of 14 ta/gts anodized came with TA everything. Only way to get suspension brakes carbon etc was to get a gtc and tic the boxes.

The 2.0 and 1.0 offer very good roi. If you wanted to increase times just tires would do that but as Bruce shows the stock do a lot of good work.

Actually if you select TA group (not the numbered TA package) for the GTC, you will get the TA suspension, brakes, tires, and etc.

Terminator I thought your comment was directed at this post. Where he clearly stated it was a TA 1.0 that he thought was inferior performance wise. Not that I agree, as the difference between 1 and 2 should not be that significant.

After getting the 2.0 I prefer how it drives particularly on the track and at high highway speeds. The 2.0 feels more planted (downforce you can feel) and the suspension tune feels more refined at all speeds. I personally like the extra aero bits of the 2.0 over the more modest 1.0 bits. My first time out in the 2.0 at Homestead Motor Speedway, my lap times dropped 5 seconds going from the 1.0 to 2.0 simply because the limits of the 2.0 can be pushed harder due in part to the extra downforce and better turn-in.

The 1.0 lines flow and the car looks amazing from every angle. The 2.0 lines are broken up and the wing looks like an after thought. I could stare at the side profile of a 1.0 all day and never get bored.

Some guys like a woman in jeans and a tee shirt (TA1) and some guys prefer a woman dressed for a hot night of action (TA2). Neither one is wrong.

Can you even order a 2.0 wing? You see so many people order the TA 1.0 aero pieces which also clearly indicates that it's a more desirable look. If you can order the 2.0 stuff - then case closed.

LOL I'm going to have to disagree.

The TA 1.0 is like a classy girl wearing a flattering pair of slacks, a cute blouse that just a bit revealing, and a classy set of heels that are just high enough to give her presence but not high enough to be seen in a strip club. (This is the girl you marry. She's really attractive, but doens't need to try too hard.)

The TA 2.0 is like the girl who can't do her make-up well, wearing 6 inch plastic, glitter heels and a dress that fits just a bit awkwardly on her. (This is the one you realize is probably decently attractive if you remove all the poorly done make-up/style choices. A few drinks and you don't mind sleeping with her.)

The ACR is the girl that's just as hot as the TA 1.0 girl, but she went all out. Heavy but well done make-up, super high (and high quality heels), a super revealing but extremely well fitting dress and she's walking around knowing she's the hottest thing in a 5 mile radius. (This is the one you would definitely sleep with, but you're not sure you would marry cause she's probably crazy.)

But I'm REALLY into fasion so I realize all of that probably doesn't mean anything to anyone LOL.

Well it's pretty obvious where this thread is headed...

Here's some steamy shots of TA 1.0 aero for your consideration and enjoyment

How fast have you gone in that beast?

Wow I didn't think my analogy would take this thread this direction.

Goes pretty good. I took it to a half mile event and went 191 running out of gear for like 5 seconds before the finish line. I got different gearing on it now, should be good for 220 +
