    $100K 94 Viper

I guess values are finally going up for the gen 1's. :-)

Just thought I would share this one as I was shocked by the asking price.

"Asking" and "getting" are two very different things

I know of a first 200 car Gen 1 with 50 miles without a dealer prep done yet. Not for sale, but a time capsule.

He's wants $100k for it and he lists it for sale on C/List so he won't have to pay to sell it. lol

Wishful thinking...maybe 15 yrs from now?... if any of these younger generation will even know how to drive a manual.

No, but nice to see people are thinking that direction though. Perhaps it is really sinking in that these cars are gone for good and if they do come back, it will never be the same. Remember the Thunderbird re-launch anyone?

Don't think seller fees will be an issue.

Nah. That car is in near-perfect condition. Someone will buy it for keeps or for the same intent the current seller has.

I saw that listed in our local Cape Cod Craigslist, yet the car is from Florida. It will be for sale for a very long time at 100 grand regardless of the low miles.

I saw a 94 for sale recently in absolute mint condition, barely 1,000 miles. The car has lived in a museum, literally for almost its entire life and it was less than half of $100k.

You're on crack. There is nobody in their right mind that will pay that.

Tough part for the seller is this was the high volume year for the Viper -- over 3000 made if I remember correctly. He can ask whatever he wants, but someone he is not realizing that someone could buy a used TA, Gen IV ACR, many Gen Vs, and even a very nice 98 GTSR , ( and have money left over with all those buys ) so gotta believe he is not really assessing the choices Viper buyers have that outweigh the most prolific year of the Viper , hence the most common .

he may get a guy that has more money than brains to buy it for his collection, prolly not but crazier things have happened, and now we are advertising it for him,lol

Ha ya but at least those of us here that see that ad know that it is kind of an unrealistic price.

We all know the value is unrealistic. This guy bought an investment car and it didn't pan out.... He though he was buying a 60's Cobra and wants the fat dollars!!
