    Broadcast Sheet

All Chrysler vehicles have them, and other makes do too. But whether they stayed with the car is another thing. Standard places to find them are under the carpet, seats, door panels, and under the dash. My 2016 Challenger Scat Pack has 5 of them, including the large FINAL one that was taped to the hood, all rolled up in the glovebox when I bought my car off the lot. So, do Vipers have them in the car too? I have the Viper Quarterly edition that shows a 96 Blue & White GTS with one taped to the front fender. Do any of you guys have yours? In other venues, it's commonly called the Buildsheet. I'm curious if anyone found one in their car. Just a neat piece of paperwork to see.

    Cheers

Have not seen one in my new Gen Vs but would be cool if I could find one. Thinking Vipers don't have one? Let's see what the experts say.

I've never found one in the Vipers I owned...

I found a helpful site that can give you something similar to a build sheet...

I've always found it funny that in the actual assembly plants we called them "line track sheets" not broadcast sheets.
Every department that I worked in (metal shop, chassis, trim, final line, 9190/prep to shipping) they were always called track sheets, not broadcast sheets by Management and the assembly line workers.
Each individual section in each department had a printer that printed the track sheet for their section listing the part number of each part or assembly that was getting installed.

It seems that people who never worked in the assembly plants call the broadcast sheets. lol

    Rich,

Good discussion! The bottom of the ones in my 69-1/2 Super Bee, 70 Challenger T/A, and countless other Mopars I've owned, Broadcast Sheet is actually typed out on the bottom of the sheet itself, hence the name. Also, mostly everyone in the Mopar hobby in respect to the older cars refers to them that way. Maybe the verbage on the sheet changed over the years and maybe on the newer cars they aren't called that? Interesting! Most it seems, generically calls them Build sheets no matter the make. I guess it just depends on whatever comes out of your mouth first! Ha!

I'd be curious as to how many found them and where. When I get back from this trip I'll post of pics of the ones off my '16 Challenger. They're way different, with a lot less info, than earlier ones. Would be neat to find one in a Viper.

    Cheers

    Dave

Although it may not be the same as what was used down the line, any decent dealer will print one up for you.

When they were building my 1 of 1, I asked the concierge for a copy of mine...needless to say, never received one. I have a 71 GTX and found the original between the springs and foam under the passenger front seat.

I can remember looking for mine back in 2008. Not to be found. BUT, I was able to call Chrysler at that time, and they graciously sent me the sheets with all the breakdown of codes which I still have today. Not sure that service is even available today! Being a huge Mopar fan, I looked for broadcast sheets in every Mopar I bought. Sometimes I was lucky and other times not. I feel they are worth their weight in gold. Look at the older muscle cars today that have them. If increases the value and show absolute proof of what you have. NO Clone!
