Clear coat polish

The clear coat on my 96 viper has marks on it like something rubbed up against it or something. It doesnt look like it went all the way through to the paint. The guy i bought my car from said all he did was run water over the car and dry it off. He owned it 12 years. What should i use to polish this out? What do yall recommend i buy as in a buffing wheel? I tried watching videos on how to restore paint on a car but none talked about what i have on my car.

OMG... talk about a recipe for paint destruction. My friend, you need to look at this thread. Pack a lunch. It's 2-hours worth of videos.

Hey Junkman, I'm in a little bit of a pickle.

3 Years ago (exactly) the car went through a Color Correction and CQuartz treatment by the pro's.
Ever since, it's been cared for extremely well.. so the finish still looks fantastic/like new.

Also has the Xpel Ultimate clear bra on the front (only the front.. done 10/2014)), which should be good for 10 years (2024)

I think it's about time for another CQuartz treatment but not exactly sure how to approach the situation with Xpel bra.
Any input would be much appreciated.

That question would be best asked to the people doing the work. That problem is NOT yours to solve, it is theirs. If they say that they can work around the bra or that the bra needs to be removed and replaced, then their advice is the advice you should follow.

When I had mine done a few weeks ago they put the ceramic coating on top of the Xpel. Shouldn't be an issue.

Says it's OK to coat over the bra.
