Great story, awesome pics. Time like that spent with a parent gets more valuable with age! I bet your dad was smiling all the way home thinking of that visit and night of talking cars and having a few drinks. My dad is a hotrod guy also, getting older now but we still get together for a beer or 3 and talk cars. shit like that is priceless.

I agree 100%, wish I could enjoy it more, harder now that he's 1k miles away.

No you certainly can't, cherish them as long as you can. Yes sir, it's a great area up here, love it. I'd recommend a visit sometime.
