So, I was looking for an exhaust for my new (to me) Gen 3 coupe and I'm sorry but I can't see how Viper exhaust systems are worth $700 to $2000 when most look like a high school kid in auto shop could make them. So I fired up the internet and for less than $125 in parts from Summit racing made my own 3" cat back system. No drone and the sound is comparable to any commercial brand system. The only thing it's missing is the fancy rolled tips, but I don't mind how it looks. It took me less than 2 hours with my welder and metal saws to get it done. And I ditched the 30+ pounds of snake nest crossover pipe that the Gen 3s come with.
Next project is to build a test pipe and a high-flow cat pipe. Love the feeling of a project completed.
