    Battery Tender Recommendation

Hi all...I've had a battery charger/tender for probably 25 years and it still works well. I am not certain I want to leave it hooked up to my 2010 just due to the aged technology and wanted to seek recommendations for a modern tender that is ECU safe and I don't need to worry about it when it is hooked up. I always have charged on the positive post in the engine compartment and put the negative on the front exhaust manifold bold since it is so convenient.

Brand and model information is most appreciated.

Many thanks in advance, see the Western Reserve Members Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deltran. Inexpensive, and reliable. I lose power a lot in my house, and it stays hooked up all winter, never an issue (so far, knock wood!)

Ditto. While buying 5 qt. jugs of Mobil 1 at Walmart last week, I saw that they had the Deltran Battery Tender Plus priced in the low $40.00 range.

Another good product is a Schumacher SE-1-12S. Its a 1.5 amp maintainer with mounting bracket, wires direct to post and has a short pigtail 110 cord. Unit stays on car at all times then just need a typical cord to plug in. It was suggested in another thread so I went with it.....no problems. The Deltran is a good product also just depends whats available to you.

C-TeK 3300. I have used them on all my cars for years with no issues. They are about $70.00.

I have three of these. I've used them on Vipers, GT500s, boats, bikes, etc. Never had an issue.

Same exact ones I have and they work like a charm. Batteries last at least two or three times longer than before I used them.
