    Cleaning those dang bugs off

I have no bra on the front of my Viper and would rather keep it that way.....what is everybody else who are bra-less doing to best clean bugs off without scratching and is there a product that leaves the surface protected and easier to clean next time around? I use a product called "Bug slide" on my Harleys...haven't tried it on my Viper yet.

Why are you not wanting a bra? I have a clear one on my car and it works great! Can't even see that it's there until you are right close up to it. Saves a lot of worry. Just my opinion though

I good quality wax should do the trick...before I go on a long ride such as the Tail of the Dragon I put on an extra coat of wax only on the front part of the car. A lot easier to put wax on and off than bugs.

Silly as this sounds - go to the Dollar Tree if you have one nearby and pick up a bottle of L.A.'s Totally Awesome cleaner for a buck - it's amazing how well it works! I just googled it and you can buy it online. A friend told us about it after watching her friend clean his crop dusting airplane. After that a good coat of carnuba wax will help you out if you don't want to put a clear bra on the car.

Right!!!! Bugs won't hardly even stick to the Bra on mine. They rinse right off easily...

I would suggest diluting it as it's a pretty strong cleaner. I know of a few detail shops that use in a diluted form for a presoak.

Bug and smudge remover by Griots garage
Also Bug Barricade before you drive.
Rinse off with water and a wash mitt no problem.

Like a champ - very little elbow grease needed to clean them off! We've found it doesn't do very well on stickers tho.

Yes you are correct - we dilute it before using.

dryer sheets. Dip them in your soapy wash bucket first. They work great at getting those bugs off.

Just not familiar with the clear bra, do they last long? hard to put on perfectly? come off easily if needed to replace?

I had my Viper coated with Modesta after the clear bra. Bugs are no problem.

Second on the dryer sheets, works great at breaking down and removing bug spatter. The ceramic coating products (opti -coat, ceramic pro) make it easy to wipe off bugs and such. con, they are expensive.

The previous owner of my Viper had the clear bra installed by a professional. Sorry I don't know what brand it is, but it seems to be very durable. Not sure about replacement either. I just like knowing I have the protection from rocks etc. Bugs don't bother me lol, they wipe off the bra quite easily.

    Repeat after me... HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
Dissolve any organic material without harming any other material
Get it at you local market for dirt cheap and spray it on bugs... They will start to turn white and soft right away.
No kidding, best and cheapest bug remover ever

The Safe Scrub Bug and Tar remover from Auto Geek is amazing. Just use it with soap and water and the bugs are gone. No need for any other solutions, products, etc. About $5.99.
