How can a Lemon have a clear title

I'm confused how this seller claims the car has a clean title even though it is a lemon/buyback? He/she also claims the warranty is not void even though it has an aftermarket PCM. What am I missing here...

Click on the vehicle history report tab to see the autocheck.

    A few uneducated comments.
The title should not be affected by vehicle sales, even back to the OEM. I thought salvage titles were for damage like accident, flood, etc.
Warranty is not automatically cancelled by the PCM. If you read here it is on a case by case basis with the most visible cases not so long ago corrected (or at least that was my impression).

A buyback get a lemon/branded title. All vehicle retain warranty even with a aftermarket pcm, it's what's covered that will be effected. I would assume the bumper to bumper has expired. The buyback still qualify for the extended warranty at same price as a clean title car. Most banks will still finance them as they would clean title. If you are looking another for a couple grand more you can buy my 2014 gts, 9000, no mods, bumper to bumper to 7/18, buyback also.

Some states do not show a lemon or buyback on the title. I'm not sure which off hand, but there are several states that leave it as a clean title; so that could be possible.

As far as the aftermarket PCM voiding the entire warranty...it won't. It will void any repairs for damage caused by the PCM, or any damage that could be contributed to the aftermarket PCM.
