    Soon to be owner

Hello, new here and new to the Dodge/Viper fam, or soon to be that is...

I have a 17 ACR-E on order from Gerry Wood

Stryker Orange, Extreme Aero, black racing stripes, interior and exterior CF package, etc...

This will be my second toy (both planned to be passed to my sons when they are mature enough to enjoy them, and by then, these cars will be dinosaurs. Their current ages 4.5 years old and 8 months old), my first toy being the other snake, hence my name

I have a 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra, aka a Terminator
black on black on black on black
    Heavily modded
My current tune has it at 681 rwhp and 598 rwtq and that's ONLY at 16PSI with only 20* timing and a 11.2 AFR at WOT
My best slip thus far (out of around 20 passes in my lifetime: 11.29 @ 132.50, best mph is 133.42 though)

    A few highlights of it:
    - Whipple 2.9L Crusher
    - Accufab 160mm monblade TB
    - Canton road race oil pan
    - Aeromotive Eliminator pump (I run E85)
    - Siemens Deka 80lb/hour injectors (kind of close to being maxed)
    - Fore fuel rails, F2i regulator, Y-block
    - all Fragola fittings and stainless braided fuel lines
    - Tremec T56 Magnum
    - Spec 3+ clutch
    - Fidanza AL flywheel
    - full custom built SRA (I kept breaking my IRS at the strip)
    - Afco double adjustable struts and shocks, full coilover setup
    - Brembo Cobra R 4 piston front calipers
    - FTBR 13" 2 piece road race rotors (F), FTBR 13" 2 piece rotors (R)
    - Kenny Brown front brake cooling duct kit
    - Russell stainless braided brake lines
    - Hawk ceramic pads
    - Motul RBF600 brake fluid
    - Corbeau CR1 microsude seats with 3" 5 point harnesses with cam lock
    - Amerex 2.5lb halon fire extinguisher
    - Brey Krause quick release bottle clamp and seat mount
    - Battery relocation to trunk with firewall, custom battery box, and Flaming River battery kill switch custom installed

    Street/drag/car show wheelset:
True Forged Chicanes, powdercoated matte black
18x9(F) on 265/35/18 BFG Sport Comp II
18x10.5(R) on 305/35/18 MT ET Street IIs

    Road race wheelset:
True Forged Mach Fives, powdercoated gloss candy blue
    18x9 on 275/40/18 Nitto NT01s

^^^ and that's the non-detailed mod list of my Cobra btw

My "local" track is Hallet Motor Racing Circuit. I took my Cobra there when it was under factory power and did poorly, but I loved it. Now that is it over 650 rwhp, that a little too much, hence my new purchase

    Anyways, hello

Nice. I saw that fully optioned ACR a while back. That's definitely going to stand out. I'm glad to hear you plan to keep the car and pass it down. Many including myself are doing the same thing with these ACRs since they are so limited and special.

Thanks! Yes. Much like my Cobra, I like the rare (just under 20,00 Cobras built for 2003/2004 in all the color/options. Much less now with totaled out and theft/not recovered, parted out, etc)... But, get in and drive. No luxuries. I have my F250 for that. I am excited. Been a 6 month plus decision...It was between an ACR-E or Turbo S or GTR, the latter two being "more" family (and wife) friendly, but this ACR is something special, so I couldn't pass it up. The Turbo S and GTR are kind of rare, but not rare enough for my liking.

No regrets, that's my motto. That and everybody Wang Chung tonight.

    oh, to note:

I'm buying from Gerry Wood because the customer service from Mike Mokoff has been tremendous. Something of a lost art, Mike has it. Top notch. Answers any of my questions. Calls back timely. Replies to email quickly, etc. Props to Mike!

I tried with BJ's/ViperExchange, and their service sucked. Multiple calls to no one answering, voicemails left with no calls back, talked to Courtney once (that was great), but she was supposed to call me back and never did, etc...

So yeah, their loss, Mike's/Gerry Wood's gain.

    rant off

Hopefully I'm in safe hands with Gerry Wood and Mike?

We are very excited to get that stunning Viper in your garage, and you are in very good hands. Mike, Kyle, Travis, David and myself are here for whatever you need.

Thanks for your vote of confidence too!

    Thanks! I cannot wait!

Do the car world a favor and buy Mike a bottle of whiskey or dinner or something and never let him quit. I haven't had customer service like he has provided in a while!

    - I won't be taking delivery of the Viper until after that date from my last conversation with Mike
    - My Cobra is junk out there now (not that it had the best open track braking, steering, and suspension to begin with)
    - That is a Wednesday. Ugh. A good day to miss work lol. But, I need to get my time off for the Mid America Shelby meet approved (which is in mid June) and then I'll try for taking that Wednesday off to come out and hang and meet people

It's funny you mention customer service. I've noticed really differing customer service with all the specialty shops as well. Don't these guys realize the online community of Viper owners that talk about them day in and day out? If I ran a niche business with multiple online forums dedicated to the niche I was involved in, I'd sure as hell make sure my PR skills were operating on overdrive. Some of these guys just don't seem to care less.
Todd at Scharfe Automotive, ROE, and Viper Parts Larry are 3 of my favorites for customer service.
