He answered these questions in the other pricing thread, posting that it was a Lemon law branded title car.

buy back based on needing a driver mod, car makes no noises at 45 and doesn't stall at all.......someone didn't know how to drive or start the car well.

I am glad the car is without fault in your hands but I find it hard to believe a manufacturer would lemon buy back a car based on personal anecdotes alone.

Hah! Didn't know how to start the car well? Because the red button can be confusing to some?

Or maybe it was fixed before resale???? Why assume incompetence on the part of the previous owner.

Whining noise at 45? That's simply a diff need replacing - many of have had diffs replaced here. Sound like a dealer who couldn't diagnose an issue. A diff replacement needed is not a reason for buyback!

He also said in the other thread that the engine was replaced, so the lemon law might have been invoked due to the total amount of time that the car was spending at the dealership. As we know, the reason that folks like me avoid buyback cars is I would never be confident that the full story is known.

lemon would apply only to a new car, if it changed owners it would be a buy back
