How are you mounting your AIM Smartycam

For those without rollbars, how/where are you mounting your Smartycam?

This is how I did it. I got a metal shower curtain rail that you twist tight against and onto the side plastic bits. I attached velcro strips to the ends/bases of the curtain rail and twist tightened the rail against these velcro patches. I then got an articulated steel mount with a jaw for 15 bucks which I then adjust and brace against the back ledge(with a self adhesive neoprene patch) and this is a very solid mount and gives you a much better viewing angle(basically like someone is sitting in between passenger and driver.smartycam mount.jpgsmartycam1.jpgsmartycam 2.jpgsmartycam 3.jpg

I mount mine to the rear glass. Works pretty good except for the rear view mirror blocking more than I would like of the field of view.

I was mounting mine on the rear glass and at the last track day the camera fell and the window tint bubbled up where the suction cup was.

I'm going to try something different next time.

Took me awhile to figure this one out, Really like what I came up with at the end of last season. Gooseneck style mount 3m to the rear antenna. works great!

I mounted mine on the rear glass, upside down (you have to change settings on the camera to film upside down)
I've had no issues, but you have to press HARD on it before flipping the switch that sucks it to the glass. Make sure the suction cup is 100% flat against the glass really hard before flipping that switch or it will fall off from time to time.
