anyone looking to sell their viper

thanks to the direction by some forum members i bought a gts viper a month ago and love it. i sold my srt last year and really missed it.

a very close friend sat in it last week and is in love with it and wants to get one. his budget is 70 max, clean title, no accidents.
not red but ok with other colors.

he has a gtr if anyone wants to trade and he can pay the difference (pm me for details)

let me know if anyone is interested in selling. he will pay more for a ta, upto 75.
    thanks
here is a pic of mine.

I doubt 75K will get him a TA...but enjoy and good luck to your buddy!

I hope he's looking for an SRT with a max budget of 70K.

GTS is sitting in the high 70s to mid 80s at the moment.

And 75K for a TA? Not going to happen man. TAs are sitting in the high 80s to mid 90s at the moment.

^This. Maybe if you find one with 20k plus miles it'll be in your price range, but otherwise with a clean title those prices Rexius quoted are all accurate.

ViperSmith on here is selling his silver beauty, asking is a bit above $70k, it's an SRT, but his asking is aggressively low, he's a very straight shooter so not sure about any further room down in his ask. It's the cheapest no issue car I've seen available today, and silver is striking. That's a unicorn price point for a no issues, no stories car. Forget the TA, at that price he'll just frustrate himself without accepting a rebuilt/buy back st least.

Nice ones aren't in that price range, but VE can elaborate if called. Best bet is someone desperate to unload. We're also now entering car season, winter prices are behind us, it'll be a tough hunt.

thanks guys, lets leave the TA out of it, just SRT is fine, I will check out the silver one too. just looking to for someone that might be looking to trade up and wants to not get a lowball offer from tradein.

I'd take red before black any day. Even if the red costs more, theres just too many black vipers and more importantly black is impossible to keep clean.

I'm looking mainly for red ! When I bought my 2002 there was no way I would buy red. I have since done a 180 on that. The car looks great in any stock color. (and most any other color.)

Is this the one on eBay? If so, it looks very nice! But saying the price is "Aggressively low" or "Unicorn pricing" is a bit much. The car is a base model with 7,700 miles for $74.5k. With no stories, that about lines up with the other base SRT models i've been seeing in my close study of the viper market in the last 6 months. Stories SRT models like this would probably be in the mid 60s. The price he's asking is definitely not high, but it's not mind blowingly low either.
It seems like alot of Viper owners are very optimistic on prices as to hold the value of their own cars. As a buyer, it kind of sucks when people keep saying the prices are going to go up or the cars will get hard to find, because I can barely afford one as it is. Maybe that will all change when I actually own one, who knows. But I wouldn't be surprised if prices go down a bit more like every other car.

When a new motor on a Gen5 costs 32k to replace (Gen 2's are half that), I'd venture to say prices can't go all that much lower for a no stories great condition car. My personal opinion, maybe it hits 55-60k during a recession if one were to come. Otherwise with inflation beginning to gain speed in the US, 60-70k is about the lowest I can see the base models selling.

No, it is not the one on eBay that you are talking about. It is a 2015.

Not impossible, but definitely a challenge. When clean, Black is Best.

Totally agree, not to mention black is the most sinister looking especially at night

Ya if you are looking for a TA in the 70s there might be a wrecked one out there for your friend

There is branded 2014 Black TA on CarGurus for $63k. May be worth a look if the description is accurate but I think there's more to the story...

Nope, his is newer and his ask is $3k lower. He's a very active member, meticulous guy, car nut, but looking to move to McLaren, for his super clean well known car at his price, it's a steal. Believe me, guys here know I'm the craziest bargain hunter, I got a smoking deal on my first gen5 and then again on my ACR, IMO. But I'm a realist, and not an optimist, and still, IMO I think if you snag a gen5 with clean history in the $65-72k range, you'll have very, very limited depreciation. Especially if it's not red or black, I've had 4 black vipers, but I'm only saying that because there are more red and black, so more competition / supply, vs like a silver, green, blue, etc.

You can buy my 14 gts for $ 73k 9k miles. Was a buyback but all fix and still has warranty unit 7/18 and still can get full extended warranty for normal price.
