Most miles on a single Viper and most total

A friend of mind has well over 150,000 on a Ford GT, and as we reach the purported end, I was wondering about Vipers.

I entered Viper world during Gen 1 and put 50,000 miles on a Gen 1. In total I've had 11 Vipers with maybe a total of 150,000-- not even competitive.

So who has the most on a single Viper and most on their collection?

I know Mary Petitpren had a couple of Vipers over 100,000 , but have not heard from her for years. She was a special , unique lady , but have feared she may have passed away. Rumor was her third Viper was approaching the Century mark too.

Not exactly a Viper but Viper powered, there was a guy on the VTCOA that I believe reached 200K on his SRT-10 Ram. Truck was stock and I believe the only repair he ever made was a broken valve spring.

I don't own one yet but in my searches I saw a '94 with 190,000 miles on it. Most I've seen by far.

Here in Washington state I saw a 1994 several years ago which showed 222,000. I assume it was legitimate. He also said he hadn't had the heads off yet which is possible I guess considering how under-stressed the engines are.

My personal best is 109,000 on my 1999 RT-10 with another 19,000 miles on my 2014 GTS I bought a year ago with 9,000 miles on it. These are not huge numbers, but most every mile I have driven has put a smile on my face.

I knew someone that moved to my neck of the woods a couple of years ago with a 1998 GTS-R. He opened up a pizza joint and his name was Richi, but I don't know what number his GTS-R was. Either way he drove it all the time. While he certainly doesn't have the most miles on a viper of all time, he was over 120k which I think is rather astounding for a GTS-R since most of them just sit in collections.

Amazing, because they have oil cooler line issues like us, and power steering line issues. He got lucky!

Personally seen at least two gen I's with over 250K miles on them with owner who track. Highest Gen III/IV I have seen is 120K in person.

The Early cars are under-stressed should basically run forever with good maintenance. Will to bet you could get 350K-400K out of a gen I without touching the block.

she from GA, right? she used to come to all events she could in our area, then leave and go to another region. I think that's all she did after her husband passed away. Mini skirts and high heels I remember. (if it's the same Mary). I don't know her whereabouts either....

It was a joke...although I do drive it as much as time will allow. Tough to rack up miles when you have 11 cars to circulate through. I like to drive them all as I don't like letting a car just sit.

That's her. As Bill said, a special lady. She had multiple cars, drove them daily. I know she had one with insane high mileage that she drove as her daily car. I loved her spirit. I also fell out of touch with her almost 2 years now. Hope she's doing ok. She's be one of the people I'd bet would be in the running.

Bought my 25k mile car to use as a daily during summers.
But I highly doubt it will ever see 100k within decades..
