    Gtsr pricing

There doesn't seem to be many out there to reference but what is the consensus here as to where a 2000 gtsr should be asking? Now how about one with a twin turbo set up? Pristine condition car low mileage.

    Hey SlowPoke,

Are you referring to the 100 white/blue GTS-R cars built in 1998 to celebrate Viper's track wins in the GT2 series?

    This one. If it's a 2000, safe to assume it's a GTS-R clone?

Yeah, 0 made unless its an actual GT2 race car. All the road going GT2/GTSR were made in 1998.

Here's the ad. The engine work sounds pretty awesome. I'm not a huge fan of the rear diffuser either but with this much power, it may need all the help it can get staying straight on a 1/2 mile lol

I was thinking the same thing but I tend to be more negative than positive it seems, so I kept my mouth shut...l0l.

I'm going with AutoForm. That hood, the scoop on the roof and IIRC Steve posted a customer wanted the rear that way.

But as to your question, I don't know what a custom 2000 GTS is going for.

That's pretty sad for them to lie about it being a GTS-R. This is up there with the dolphin viper.

Nowhere in the ad did it state this was a GTS-R. No one is lying to anyone. The OP knew just enough about vipers to know that a GTS-R was worth something, but not enough to know it wasn't a GTS-R.

That's my point exactly. I wouldn't know any different either so it's deceiving even though they didn't mention it. Why the heck would anyone put that on their car if it wasn't a GTS-R? There is no other reason other than to fake people out that wouldn't know any better in a sad effort to show off, similar to the non functioning roof scoop. To me if you're selling something like this that isn't genuine you should add a disclaimer in the add, similar to selling a fake rolex. If you don't say whether the rolex is real or fake, most people would assume it's real.

I agree with you. There should be a disclaimer at the very least. I've never been a fan of clone cars. You see them alot in the older vintage muscle cars with the fake SS badges, etc. I would feel like a bit of a fraud driving one around. Kinda like wearing a toupee lol Keep it real. The car is awesome on it's own merits without having to cheese it up with aero kits and fake logos

Haven't you ever seen an M badge on a BMW?

Gotta admit though, that's a pretty sick stance. Am I right?
I don't know enough about twin turbo's to comment on the "ebayesque" quality of said components contained herein. Those red "rubber band" pipe connectors seem a bit suspect though

Of course its not, some people like to put an M Badge on a BMW making you think its a performance car, just like adding a GT badge. Take my car I just went a bit further with the stickers and bolt ons

Or they put an AMG badge on regular C-class benz.

I have always wanted a '98 GTS/R, but I would go for a real one and not a clone. And definitely not with a back end looking like that!!
But being as those cars are out of my price range, maybe I'll just hafta put a GT2 wing on my ACR and call it good lol
