I just came across this thread and for what it is worth, I have some information to add to your Comp Coupe registry. I was the original owner of VCC C5 and purchased it directly from Dodge (Evernham Motorsports) in 2002. I am quite certain that I was the second person to ever take delivery of a Comp Coupe, although the chassis number was VCC C5 rather than VCC C2. I had it delivered from Dodge to Fat Albert's in or around November 2002. Russ Oasis was the first person to ever take delivery of a Comp Coupe. There is a photo documentary of my delivery as well as the original black with silver stripe paint job performed at Fat Albert's in Phoenix on the VCA website. I repainted the car to white with blue stripes several years later and sold the car to Tom Antonelli in August 2007. I was told that Tom crashed the car and it burnt to the ground, but I never verified that. I do not understand how Cindy Lux (according to you registry) ended up with the car unless she opurchased it from Tom Antonelli. I campaigned the car during my ownership primarily in the VRL as well as NASA. I also did one Speedvision World Challenge GT race at Road America in August 2003. Here are pics of the car as delivered and after its first paint job at Fat Albert's:

Thank you for posting! We seem to have some chassis number confusion here as all of the information in the Comp Coupe section of the registry has been provided by the cars' owners. Russ told me that he owns prototype chassis #5 and another member here named Lance says he owns VCC C05 which was previously campaigned by Cindi. Pictures were provided of both cars. I suppose we will need everyone to verify their chassis plates!
Desert-Frank, glad to see you posting. I saw you post in the AZ Track thread with some old pic's from PIR as well as a post on the VCA.
I remember your Comp coupe well. Great old days back in PHX with you, Rob, Tony, Rich, Al, Eddie and on and on. I moved out for good in '03 at that time I had been occasionally tracking my 94 red/tan rt10. When I started working in Cali I bought a '99 red ACR and took it at to the track by Luke with my wife
I'm good friends with the guy who now owes CC-05, Lance K here in SoCal. He bought it from Cindy 2 1/2 years ago. He's heard me talk about the good old days back in PHX and your comp coupe. A guy locally just bought a virgin CC with the factory primer panels. Lance told me that the panels are kind of rough and I told him that you spent something like $7k back in '03 to get your new CC painted.
Unbelievable that his car was yours back in the day!!! I'll call him and direct him to your post. Best wishes to you, I do miss those days when I was just starting our and you guys were so helpful to me at the track!! Fast forward to today, I have C-92 which spent its life in the UK racing. Lots' of cool GT-3 stuff including an EMCO. At Dan Cragin's now, putting on the final touches from a full rebuilt with upgraded heads/cam from Kevin at Exotic. Best wishes to you!!!!! Mike Buckingham
Mike, so good to hear from you too! I would love to think that my Comp Coupe is still alive and well! BTW, this is to confirm that the chassis plate on my Comp Coupe was VCC C5. I was actually unhappy with the fact that I got C5 because at the time that was the designation of the rival Corvettes! Please say hello to Dan Cragin for me. As I recall, $7K was the cost that Dodge wanted to charge for painting the car to my specifications. They only offered it in red, blue, or black. I told them I wanted black with silver stripes. They offered to paint one that color and send me photos of the finished product for approval. They even took close up photos to show me where the rough spots were. I rejected the car and took one unpainted instead. I paid Fat Albert $15 K to paint my car correctly. His whole paint shop was lamenting over the poor condition of the body panels as received on the car. They spent countless hours sanding and filling. The finished product was museum quality. Years later I had the car repainted by Frank Johnson in Tucson to white with blue stripes for $5K. Ironically, my racing teammate Phil De La O purchased the black/silver Comp Coupe that I had rejected.
Frank, I just spoke to Lance and he couldn't believe what I found. I'd told him a few times about yours and how the paint was so good and you really took care of it. Again, he told me how rough the panels are on the bare CC a local guy bought
He got a little nervous about the fire story. As we were speaking he pulled the hood and verify the chassis number plate. I had googled Tom A and saw a picture in white, with the roof hook and the blue forgelines, both are still on the car today. Lance also recalled Tom Anonelli's name, he thought he saw it on the fire bottle or somewhere else on the car or in the paper work. Your car is in good hands!!!! And, it now has the G4 hybrid and an EMCO. Come out to out to a SoCal event and I'm sure he'd let you run a few laps in it and I would also too. BTW, was trying to find P Mum video at Laguna a couple of days ago and came across a video of RA and saw your name on the leader board. Didn't know you had raced in the Speed World Challenge Best wishes and take care!!!!! Mike

Found these Viper Days photos I took of Russ Oasis with his brand new Comp Coupe. This was the only one delivered at this point in time. I couldn't wait to get mine at the time. My good buddy Ritch Marziale ("Muzzy") was very frustrated because he was promised by Dodge that he would get the first Comp Coupe and was the first to put a deposit down. Russ somehow got the first delivery instead. The Archer brothers took care of Russ's car and mentored him as a driver.

Great job guys! Way to get this straightened out quickly. I will surely add all of this to the registry for the next update. Please keep sharing stories and details like this as well. They may come in handy for another project I'm working towards for Viper racing history.
I see the name Muzzy was mentioned - that name jumps out at me as possibly having been involved with a GTS-R chassis at some point. I'm still trying to locate a few GTS-R chassis including C32 and C33. You wouldn't happen to know if they are located in the south west or if Muzzy owned a GTS-R at some point would you?
Rich has (had) GTSR C-03 He and Erick Messley won a Grand-am race in Phoenix (as you registry notes say). He runs as 56, a few pictures on line but their all protected
Here's his Comp Coupe, not sure of the chassis # but from reading Franks posts above, it had to be an early chassis #

Ah ha I knew the name sounded familiar! Thanks for filling in that blank.
Also please have the owner of that other recently purchased VCC comment in here so I can add their car.
I will get you the info you are requesting from Muzzy. Yes, I crewed for him when in his GTS-R he took the class win in the Grand-Am night race at PIR with co-driver Erik Messley.

Desert Frank,
I'm the current owner of VCC #3. Do you happen to have any history/info on VCC #3? The car was white before the previous owner Kurt Sollberger had the wrap put on it a few years back.
I do have some of its NARRA history back in and around 2016, but not much before then.
Thanks,
Tom

The chassis number on Ritch Marziale's (Muzzy's) white with blue stripe comp coupe in the corkscrew photo above was C23. He later painted the car all blue and eventually sold it to Jim Booth.
Thank you Frank! I will continue to add these updates.
Desert Frank,
My car wears the #48, but is VVC #3. Here are a few pics of her in action, with 1st place podiums.
Any info on it would be much appreciated. Thanks

To the best of my recollection :
I believe VCC #3 belonged to one of the McCann Brothers. It was run the World Challenge series for many years. I ran against that car at Laguna Seca back in 05 when I was racing my GTS. If memory serves it the went to Stu Fredricks down in So Cal. He ran World Challenge for a few events. It was then sold at a World Challenge event to ACS Express (who raced Mustangs) as his son Brandon Davis had wrecked his Mustang and was in a Championships Points battle. VCC #3 was sold to the Davis' and Brandon ran the car I believe for that weekend. That car later caught fire and burned to the ground and was completely rebuilt by ACS Express Racing. Tommy Drissi and Boris Said had both driven that car while in ACS's possession. Car was then sold to Kurt Solberger.
