Two days left on a 1996 GTS on Bring a trailer. Current bid is 45k. Looks OK but has a couple of rough spots and some suspicious valve covers.
Any thoughts?

IMHO. A lot of wear on the drivers seat for such low mileage.
Just curious what is suspicious about those valve covers? I see some dust, but nothing else?
Edit. Never mind...oil fill on wrong side. Weird....

Those valve covers look fine.
I wonder why it went unregistered and off the map for 6 years. Granted, it could have just sat there and not driven for that time, but that's not exactly good either. Driver's seat, driver's carpet and pedals are always signs of possible red flags on cars like this. I would tread lightly, as I have seen my fair share of shady dealings and workarounds with the DMV.
wont meet reserve. kind of ratty.. low miles doesn't always mean good condition, still been sitting somewhere for 21 years. engine bay looks trashed.. add 5% to BAT also..

I felt it would fall short as well, and agree, not a 3,800 mile creampuff, but seller - a dealer - let it go, winning bid $48,250. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-dodge-viper-2/
Quite a hit from the $60.5K seller paid, including fees at the January, 2015 Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction: https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Even...PER-GTS-181355

Wow. Surprised.. out the door price. $50,662..
The condition kept it down I guess.
Guess sellers are selling low mile cars for well under $50K. Lol.
