It would be slower for sure if you reduce wheel torque with taller gearing. Honestly, I think the gearing is absolutely perfect as is, it's geared just right for a standing 1/2 mile.

Got ya. Gear sets for whatever racings it's intended for. My experience with it is certain setups, for whatever intended purpose, the most rear gear didn't always return the fastest result.

My Camaro is around 730-750 crank hp and with 3.73 gears I am thinking of backing down but the S60 gear sets are rare for anything under 3.55.
