    No worries.

It's interesting because the odometer reading on a new Viper is a concern for many. The challenge we faced initially was that FCA requires 9 miles to be driven on the car in the Pre Delivery Inspection process. When we faced pushback on cars from buyers, we asked about it. It turns out, most dealers did not drive the required mileage on the cars at PDI. Many didn't even drive them at all, to avoid pushback.

The issue with that mindset is that the entire purpose is to drive the car for the first time, in the real world, to make sure there is not a problem with the car. I'd rather find out now while it's in our capable hands and correct any concern before putting it in the hands of a customer. If a concern arises, imagine having to tell them to go to their local dealer and be subject to getting issues resolved (If that dealer is even a Viper certified dealer) without the relationship with the dealer. So, we did it anyway. 9 miles per car, regardless of storage challenges we faced.

First world problems baby! I'm glad to have them. Wouldn't many be so fortunate to have to worry about how many miles were on their $100k cars when the bought them.

The bids aren't exactly flying in at the moment.

Jon, I am told on Ebay it'll do nothing until the last 5 minutes. People will wait and hope they caught people asleep at the end and get a deal. My first time trying, so who knows. All it takes is one bid and it's sold, so there is lots of time for one bid.

What we do know is that it will either sell, or it won't, either way it'll sell here in person to someone. This is just a fun little experiment.

And, "it ain't over 'til it's over".

Ebay has weirdos who like to bid on cars with reserves without any intention of actually buying them. So their bids stay well under the reserves, and if they accidentally hit the reserve they quickly cancel the bid claiming it was by accident. I don't know why they do this. Maybe it's like window shopping?

So on a no reserve auction, I doubt you'll see much action until the last minute if a serious buyer finds the auction.

Guaranteed last 5 minutes you'll have over 20 bids come in. Bidding at the beginning is silly.

Got in the game late. Always been a Viper fan but work and kids got in my way. I'd love to have a GTC with ACR goodies and could write a check tomorrow for one at the right price. I wouldn't be suprised if there are no bids at all. With the new ZR1 coming out I think these prices are going to drop even more. Beautiful cars, just wish I ordered one sooner!

Probably, I've received two leads on it (outside eBay) since posting the sale. I'll have to take it down if I sell it outside. Of course, if I've had a bid on it then I'll let the sale run out as that'd be the right thing to do.

Glad to see you deleted your original comment and reposted to add the "no sale" part though . Guess we cannot count on your bid? LOL

BlueSRT has it correct, "there is a butt for every seat".

Well if picking up a brand new GTC Viper possibly at invoice when there are only a handfull left isn't the right price....what is? Trust me....corvettes have zero effect on Viper prices or demand. Apples and oranges.

. If Corvettes have zero effect, then why are Vipers dead after this month? If I could find a good colored GTC with ACR goodies I would buy it at invoice. Show me the way!

Corvettes have 0 effect on Vipers. Vipers are selling for at or above MSRP....Corvettes fall under GM's 20% off sales all the time.

The answer to why the Viper has been killed off and is having its Swan Song can be found on dozens of posts in this forum, as well as in multiple media publications. We can leave that research up to you.

Finding an ACR anywhere for under MSRP is very, very unlikely. The reason; see the sentence above.

It was a hard sell, but as has been proven for centuries; "kill the artist, and everyone wants to acquire his works".

It is my suggestion is (I don't even have one to sell you - a GTC with all the goodies), if you can find one that suits your taste (and assuming you really want one and aren't just talking about it) you go get it right, like right now. There are so few left, that this is absolutely your last chance. The simple fact is that even when they were hard to sell (before September 2016) the ACR was a ridiculous value at the MSRP Dodge set. Now that they're going away (again, forever!) then it's a stupid-amazing-how's-it-even-possible deal at the MSRP Dodge puts on the window.

I'll avoid listing the dozens and dozens of cars that went away that were truly special that are selling at multiple times over MSRP now but there are a lot of examples from which we can learn the lesson from.

I'm really confused...do you mean to say that the Corvette had something to do with the death of the Viper??? Lol at the thought of that and that Lol is coming from someone that has a ZR1 in the garage right next to my Vipers.

Wait and see what happens to the prices (what has already been happening) when you are all sold out, which will probably be in less than a week or so. Any dealer with inventory will be raising their prices and YES they will still sell their cars at well above MSRP. Anyone serious had a great opportunity to buy a really nice Viper at MSRP for the last few months. Now...not so much. You snooze you lose.

What do you think the SE cars are worth specifically the SSG ACR?.. I need to get an appraisal done, but the appraisers I talked to today are all scratching their heads about what the value is of the car... They see it as a new car, but also a very limited car, and now one that is not replaceable. They use trend history to price older cars that are irreplaceable, but what do you do with a new one?

Have them (potential appraisers) look at the 17 SSG SE listed on the Auto trader asking $245,000 CDN. Seems like a good start.

What he said...Those black stripes play into the black accents perfectly. Love the GTS stripes!

We should start a contest to see who can guess what the last Viper on the ground will be from what is left in available inventory.

The flavor of the month is the ACR-E (actually the flavor of the year). My hunch is that there are GT's and GTS's available in dealer stock around the country, and few ACR's. If Brad ever threw an ACR-E on eBay at invoice, watch how quickly that goes Of course, I know he is out of them.

Not quite out of them, we have one left - the opposite of that car pictured above; black with white stripes.

Then the Gold GTC Advanced Aero Solid and the white GTS with black GTS Stripes.....

Then it's back to Wranglers, Hellcats, Ram trucks and the "regular" stuff.

It may be time for a "Dutch Auction"?? I will start to lower the price $500 every day until someone snatches it up!

Then, the thought must be "do I buy it now, or wait to hopefully save another $500 but risk someone else acting ahead of me and losing the deal all together"?

Maybe when I hit my floor then I raise it back up to MSRP and start all over again. It resets the pricing and resets the thinking. The floor, or course, is whatever it would be worth as a certified used car. No need to sell it for less than that.

A fun way to end what has been Viper Madness at GW for almost a year now.

    Whatcha think?
