GW took a gamble, made it publicly known what their intentions were (to ensure that all 2017 Vipers were built and sold to enthusiasts) and followed through with that promise with no ADM to anyone. Bravo. This equals "good dealer" in my book. I actually look forward to meeting Brad Wood in person when I have a need for a future Dodge/Jeep product (and I cannot wait to meet Bill P. at Woodhouse as well -- also "good dealer" in my opinion).

VE took a similar gamble, but quietly. They bought up as many GTS-R's they could, all long before telling us about their "idea" to fund a Ring effort and pitching it to everyone here through their GoFundMe page. Their intention has always been to corner the market on the car, go set a ridiculous Ring time, and then watch the money roll in as they unload their inventory. Sorry, but this equals "bad dealer" in my opinion.

And let's keep in mind that VE is also cornering the market on parts like engine blocks, etc. So get ready for a serious undressing in the future if you need something.

It doesn't give me a dog in the fight. Simply stating my opinion. I know where you're coming from, and agree with what you said. But at the same time, did you guys donate two cars to run at the ring?

I don't disagree with any of this either, I'm not sure that makes them a 'bad dealer' or just a profit maximizing dealer.

I don't mind VE using the ring effort to help sell their cars. What I do mind is that they cornered the market on the GTSRs to do so. More appropriate if they did a dealer edition and did the same and left the Dodge special editions for customers.

I just don't like learning after the fact that VE had purchased what must be close to 75 GTS-R's with the intention of running the Ring and then came onto the forum asking us to fund it.

Any one has the ability to donate a couple cars to the efforts...but no one else did?

Again, I'm not a VE guy by any means...never done business with them, probably won't. Bill and Mark are my go-to's.

I HATE schemers. It seems to me ViperExchange is one of those. I CAN live without one of those GTS-R. For that price I rather have the AMG GT-R.

I do not know about the other people who contributed to the Ring attempt. In my case, I did it because I wanted to have a sense of participating in it. Bravo to GerryWoodViper who took the risk that it did. And kudos to anyone who acts in a manner that enhances the reputation and value of the Viper.

Brad if the owner in TX ever wants to sell that solid edition green you built please let me know. I kick myself every day for not grabbing that car. That green is amazing and with all the CF etc was just perfect. Great job!

Good evening sir! I'll tell you what, I'll shoot him a text and ask. One never knows. I can say that he is absolutely in love with his car. The joy in his voice when we speak about it is very big. That green, on the ACR Solid package, was pretty special indeed. Of course, we are affectionate to each of those cars. The owner of the blue version of that series sent us a couple shots today of how he parks his; climate controlled bubble with the custom car cover installed as well. We all get it - that desire to preserve these incredible machines.

Does it make you feel any different if you change "donate" to "loan"? Be sure they're getting those cars back, and if they come back with a record, they will probably be desirable to people interested in buying cars with that history.

I apologize if this is redundant but here goes anyway. Are all of your inbound cars sold Brad?

    Good morning!

Our website shows what's available, and what we've sold. Since day one we listed every single car we ordered as we figured it was the best way to give the full selection to clients in their purchase consideration. There is not a single car on order that we've not posted. All cars marked sold are in fact spoken for, with $10k partial payments. The one and only car that is marked "sold" that technically isn't sold (still in my dealer inventory) is my personal car, which I placed as a sold order in my name and resides at home in my garage. That's the GTC/ACR Gulf livery car of Heritage Blue with Epic Orange GTS Stripes.

We have sorted our available cars fist, and then the cars we've sold next (marked sold on the first photo)

www.GerryWoodViper.com will give you our inventory.

We have about 8 cars that have not arrived at this point, and all of those are spoken for.

Thanks! Exactly what I was curious about.

I just wanted to make sure I understood that when I see the pictures of the new arrivals that none of them are available.

    Thanks again!

I would be happy if you guys made a solid TA aero in that color that an owner wants to sell. Love that color and just really looks good. If you wouldn't mind sending me a PM with what color code that is called I may need to try and wrap/paint a car in that color since I wasn't smart enough to buy it when you had it listed.

    Thank you sir

We did a GTC w/ T/A 2.0 Group in both colors, just not the same exact stripe combination. Pics below. We hope to see the orange one soon.

Now for a little fun, we've listed our new 2017 Viper GTS in a No Reserve auction on eBay. Starting price: Dealer invoice.

Should be entertaining to say the least

Heh. Well its another smart gamble. Invoice is a decent deal for most people but holdback still puta you positive. A few on here cry how the viper isnt worth X used or new. This is a nice little experiment to let the free market speak and give some credence to valuation. Wont go for less than full MSRP imho.

The 33 miles was not to be avoided. We had upwards of 40 Vipers in stock at some point with both available and sold orders being delivered and as we wanted to keep them all indoors we were forced to rent a warehouse off site to store them. Our site was 6.5 miles away, so 13 miles per round trip.

This isn't an example of no matter what you do you'll never being able to make everyone happy is it? LOL

agreed. people want to see 1-5 on that odometer. But 33 miles, who cares... The title on MSO, and the warranty time stamp is what really matters. (unless its crazy, like 100)

My 1st 96 Coupe I had, showed 38 miles on it, from CAAP. (on the hanging tag you got with those cars). they must have taken it to pick up lunch a few times. lol

Relax...I was just kidding. You guys have proven your worth. Wasn't meant to be insulting. If I owned a dealership that had 140+ Vipers, I would have driven each and every one of them just so I could say I had seat time in that many Vipers. Will be interesting to see what this car brings.
