I think the idea was to do a SE that only a couple of dealers in the entire country would be able to sell. And that is because they sold the most vipers in its 1/4 century history than anyone else. And what better color scheme than red, white & blue. I ordered it more for the color scheme than for the dealer component personally. Plus the fact that it's numbered, 25th anniversary car, SE, probably final edition. I also liked that there are only 22. I feel as though 100 or more are too many and recall how I thought it was a mistake back in 2013 when they made triple digit launch edition cars. I think the difference with yours will be if it takes back the ring record

Of course a dealer can charge whatever they want, no one is forced to pay it. But offering MSRP is not exactly coming in with a low ball offer. And maybe, just maybe a little consideration for someone who bought THREE NEW 100K+ ACR's from same dealer when things weren't so rosy in Viper-land. Just a thought.

Yes but only a new GTS-R. Nothing else. I just refuse to pay any dealer add-on money on principal.

I too am after a GTS-R but after calling a couple dealers it seems all they want to do is offer $10-20K over MSRP on the new car and $10-20K less on the trade. Right now the greed is strong with the dealers..... I can't compete with those buyers willing to just throw their wallets at the dealers.... Right now getting a GTS-R seems like trying to find the new 911 GT3...

Is that picture of the VE warehouse recent? If so then my conversation with VE 2 days ago for their GTS-R " that they have just listed" was a total sham.... Unfortunately dealing w/ some dealers right now seems to be like trying to win in Vegas... house always wins.

My offer of $6,500 above MSRP on the GTS-R in a straight cash deal was rejected. I then offered to trade in my Ferrari as the tax credit could possibly ease the pain - never heard back.

That picture is from July 24th. Cars were dropped the 2nd week of July....IMO the GTS-R or any ACR-E is NOT worth more than the MSRP. Time will tell, but very likely ALL these cars will be worth much less in about 4-5 yrs.

Glad I paid msrp and the $15,000.00 manufacturer rebate was put to good use. Perfect timing on every level: last production year, had my trade for 3.5 years, and the coupon was expiring.

I'm sure they will sell every last GTS-R they have to sell. This is the most iconic Viper ever produced.

Of course I am saying this because I have one

, but I do feel they will sell every last one and even though I struggle with paying over MSRP, there are plenty of people that don't and will gladly do so for this car.

My math says that the revenue from just a couple of the ADM's on GTS-R's would fund the entire second attempt at the failed 'Ring record.

Seems they can afford it without having to ask for the hard earned dollars of you folks (again!)? I'd say, if they funded it themselves this time, and not on the backs of those they are charging the ADM to, it would sort of be like an investment in ensuring they sell their remaining inventory.

Plus, dealer connect shows they've got another 25 on the way that aren't sold. That could pay for the entire thing (retro to the first attempt)?

I respectfully disagree with you. I think you posting a response stating I'm unprofessional does gives you a dog in the fight, and I do think that stating the obvious breaks no professional boundaries.

Agree 100%...I can do it but I will never give away thousands of dollars to someone just for the pleasure of selling me a car. I can live without it and use that $$$$ for several vacations, remodel a home, invest, etc.
