Amazing stuff, overjoyed for you guys! Your enthusiasm has kept my ACR in the garage - I usually sell cars very quickly as I get bored and enjoy change but every time you post I go look at the car, take it for a drive if I have time and marvel at what originally got me so hyped up about the Viper. Bravo!
The Viper is going nowhere (for now)!![]()
Another great Monday!

Gunmetal with white stripes looks sick!
How many Vipers left now?
Great post, pretty soon, there will be no more posts like this...
It's funny you know, I was thinking the same thing yesterday and a couple of us even noted that soon it will be "remember when", when talking about our Viper experiences recently. It's sad, to see it all come to a slow end, but such is life. I am very grateful to have been able to be part of such an incredible time in automotive history, to be able to meet and share this with so many Viper customers and enthusiasts. It has been special. But, it's not over quite yet so we'll continue posting unit the very end!
Brad, congrats again.
So nice to see that you're looking at the big picture. This is a memorable moment in auto history and once it's gone, it's gone for good. As you said, such is life. Life is about experiences and being part of something bigger. The Viper has always represented that to me. It's not just about the track records. It's about the unique experiences with this unique car that's always gone against the grain.
I couldn't have imagined how a thread like this would be so popular and as anticipated. We are all checking in to see pics of and live IG feeds of other owner's cars simply being delivered to their dealership. Most of us have no knowledge or relationship to the buyers, yet we all feel the excitement and anticipation of seeing these unique/special edition cars come to life. To me, it says a lot about the cars, the dealers and the buyers - this entire community is awesome. What an awesome time to be Viper Nation! Hope to see many of you in Detroit in 11 days. Brad, will you and/or your gang be represented there? You will need to send something out once this is "over" regarding your experience and/or maybe the top 3 stories among this process of ordering/selling 140-ish cars.
I'm sure you'd have some pretty fun campfire stories to tell over a few beers. John
Viper Exchange is "saving" their ACRs in a warehouse. They only advertise a handful at a time for at least 5k more than the MSRP.
Saving those GTS-R for higher mark ups following Nurburgring??? Seems to be a lot of them there.
Now as a customer I think it was bad business to allow dealerships to stockpile the specials. I might have gone that way if they were available by the time I found out about them!
they did it in 2010 after some sat that would not sell, then all the sudden the acr cars went silly on a few that where still new
If this is the case I much prefer Gerry Wood's business practice of listing everything on their website and selling at MSRP. No BS, no drama. Super smooth and easy transaction.
Not sure about the rest of their ACR's and SE cars, but it looks like they are sticker on the Dealer Edition cars. Guess there's not much demand on those. I never really understood that car. It's one thing if you like the paint scheme, which is not my cup of tea, but Celebrating dealers??? I don't get it.
Never understood all the angst over dealers and how they market/sell any given car. We are a capitalist society after all and supply/demand is supposed to count for something. I picked up my 1-of-1 from VE last month and am very happy with the deal made on the car. Of course I ordered it last July before the run on our cars started, but they never once wavered from our deal and in the end it was even better than expected. It appears that each car is an individual negotiation with them these days and I say "so what?". Negotiate the best deal you can and then either buy it or not, you're free to choose.
In past years I have been quoted over MSRP on many cars, Supra, Mustang GT, SRT8 Challenger, Challenger Hellcat, even a Dodge Stealth when they first came out. It is supply and demand and each person is free to choose their response. Each person is not free to set their own price, at least not unless they nut up and buy a dealership with all the commitments that entails.
Remember all the drama and hurt feelings around here when an unknown dealer over Carolina way had the nerve to buy up the remaining production run?? They took a calculated risk on supply & demand for these cars and a great many on this site spent weeks all butt-hurt over their gutsy call. We are all here because we are into Vipers, for us to continue with this obsession we need supporting businesses, supporting businesses need some profit to stay in business.
Sorry for the rambling keyboard dump, all just my opinion of course....
