GW has stepped up for the Viper community and does not appear to have done anything wrong. Sometimes deals just cannot be made. It appears that the OP has moved on and has found his new Viper--good for him. GW also has the right to make business decisions.

as a business, a dealer has to present their side, this is how they make a living. not saying who is right, but saying a post liek this hurts a business a lot more than a consumer so one has to post their side. a dealer also has ot make money so if 75 was the number it was a decent one for a trade. as a consumer, there are a lot of choices and if someone does not earn my money, i move on.
again not taking any sides as i dont know better, just stating how it should work.

Well, I don't have any skin in the game but I will say that I for one am glad to see a business stand up for itself. Too many times we see businesses being bullied, ie. in Oregon etc. This guy, put his money where his mouth is with the Viper purchases and picked some awesome colors. He hit a home run with the chance he took. And as for the transaction, the guy was offered x amount for his Viper. If a person likes it, take it. If he doesn't like, move on. Don't come crying to a website because you got all hurt because you weren't offered the amount you wanted. GW is not mandated to offer you a certain price that "you" like. They pick and offer the price that "they" like.

What he said...Woods has helped our community of Vipers everyone enjoy their cars.

We have 9 on the truck that should arrive by Wednesday. As always we will go live on Istagram when they do to share the fun. Six of them are the one-off special paint colors of our ACR Solid Editions. We can't wait to see them. There are 18 behind them awaiting a truck.... Very exciting!!
Can't wait to see the new colors! You guys have had some amazing cars coming through the dealer. In the end, I wonder what colors will be left, if any that people didn't like. Will be interesting to see, but considering the recent press and hype this car has received, I doubt you will have any Vipers sitting on your lot for very long.

from start to finish with Gerry Woods my experience was first class. Gave me number for my trade and I had the decision to accept or not. 6 months later one of the best decision I made purchasing my 17 SRT.

ACRSNK, I bought the car in Oct last year and 2000 miles later loving it. I don't want to save it for the next guy with low miles. See you at the clam bake.

    Chris Willis,

My goodness. Can you please complete the story? Don't be a politician. If you're going to report the "facts", perhaps it would be appropriate to state all of them? Of course, it doesn't make for quality internet fodder so why bother?

    more interesting items of note:

You bought a brand new 2014 Viper just a few weeks prior to attempting to trade it with me in March 2017, and you paid $95k. At least, that's what you told me.

You declined an offer of $82k, which is what you told me in an email.

I offered you $75k, which you declined.

    So, for those eating popcorn and wondering what's up. Here is the "business case" for the offer;

    * His car sat on a dealers lot for 3 years.... it's a Viper that no one (but him) would buy for 3 years. I can't explain why, but it simply didn't sell. Color? Options? Whatever? It's clearly not a very desirable combination.
    * He just paid $95k for it as a new car. Sure, he'd love for you all to come to a conclusion that he paid close to the numbers he lists above, but he did not. He'd love for you all to think that it's worth what he listed above, but by his own admission, it is not. He'd love for you to think that was my best offer, but it was not.
    * So, what's it worth now that it's a used car? If it has 49 miles, 490 miles, or even 2,000 miles it's a used car no one would buy for 3 years.
    * A man offered him $82,000.00, so one might consider that in fact that is the market.
    * Either way, once I trade for it I have to sell it.
    * If I buy it for $75k, and have to sit on it hoping to find a buyer at $82k, isn't that a fair offer? With the risk of this specific spec of car, I'd say it's perhaps even too much?

Chris, it was simply a car deal. Simply a conversation about what two people felt a used car was worth. You have your knickers in a twist because I finally told you that I would not sell you a car and that hurt your pride and ego. Can you just go crawl under whatever rock or Bible you came from?
    Brad Wood,

I stated a fact, in response to an individuals post, which states my opinion. Many people do get offended and are not willing to negotiate and walk away.
I do not have my knickers in a twist.
I could care less you withdrew your offer and you did not hurt my pride or ego one bit.
As I have already stated,I am glad things worked out the way they did as I got the exact ACRE(GTSR) I initially wanted considerably below retail price.
My previous post states "your initial offer" which is, here in your email, and is unedited. Yes , you did come to $75K after I negotiated to that amount, then you lost your stamina. It would not offended me if you offered $50K

    For the record:

    to me
    Wanted to follow up, I made some calls on your Viper trying to find someone who doesn’t have new Vipers to compete with in order to sell it. Here are the three replies I got;

    1) $68,000.00
    2) “I’m at $67,500 on this car, ‘cause whether it has 50 or 2,500 miles it’s worth the same as a used car”
    3) “I think it’s a $68 thousand dollar car, but I’m not a buyer at that right now”.

I am right on the money on the value of this Viper. The good news, is that it’s worth what it’s worth and if your car will appreciate from today the ACR will x 2.

    Best,

    Brad Wood

That thing looks absolutely menacing!!! Love black Vipers!

You are very lucky that you were able to get that hood on your car. Looks fantastic!

As a multiple dealership owner (motorcycles not cars) I hate when customers are upset that we can't come to an agreement.
We try to sell to everyone, but at times we just can't get the numbers to work. Sometimes the trade in value does not make sense, sometimes we don't have enough mark up.

We all face similar challenges - customer is always right the question is does the business owner want that "customer" but to think a customers money isn't as green as someone else's is silly because a real seller and a real buyer will find one another.

For all of those that agree with Scott_in_fl, we just uncovered a possible export scenario on an ACR and denied the customer the ability to purchase.

Therefore, the car has been placed back on the market for sale, and is showing in transit to us.

Extreme Aero Package, Venom Black Clearcoat, Black/Header Red Interior.

    MSRP of $130,790.

This is our only solid Venom black ACR with black wheels available.

The picture may still show "Sold" but the car is available at the moment.

The spec of the car is ACR package, with Extreme Aero option group, so it has the Carbon brakes. We're not sure why the Viper build page that we created the image from wouldn't show the red calipers. Rest assured, it has those brakes.
