    GTC with TA group option...

So NOT numbered full TAs. You can get custom colors no problem with GTC+group

Scott, we have 25 Vipers about to arrive. Most are sold, so the processing for delivery will be slow and therefore a road trip will garner lots of smiles. I'll post when they come, then get on up here. I'll take you to lunch! Brad.

I'm glad you clarified, I was worried I wouldn't sleep tonight. LOL

What they ARE is Bad Ass. So, for those not geeking out on #'s and specials, they are pretty damn cool cars.

Yeah who cares about technicalities right? sell sell sell!!

probably your buyers who think they are getting a TA would be the ones "geeking out" when they find out they arent full TAs. Who cares though... PROFITS!

I say get off the "full TA" horse. The numbers thing isn't important to everyone, me included. The important thing is performance and appearance. Group and package have identical performance components. Appearance is in the eye of the beholder. TA interior is not for everyone. And a decal. Come on that is all marketing junk.

I don't think he was really disrespecting the full TA spec cars but rather recognizing that having most of its performance parts is what a lot of buyers will appreciate.

The light-weight interiors in the TA and ACR-E are also performance parts that contributed to their track performance records. Buyers are proud of those achievements and having a car that closely resembles them. So it really is all about marketing...and Dodge has done well to offer buyers unlimited choices to appeal to all their desires. Some will want the original spec and others will value additional features like power leather seats and such. It's all good!

Agreed. Just tired of seeing all the "must be a real TA" TA posts that are written in a condescending manner toward TA Group cars. Even though in many cases the TA Group cars are much more expensive due to options not available with the TA package. In this case the level of condescension was extreme as he was berating the dealership for something akin to a bait and switch. And I wanted to let him know there are actual living human beings that prefer the group over the package due to option selections.

Trust me when I say, no one cares about a number TA car other than their owners. It's the only thing they have to hold onto after allowing so many new buyers to have something they thought was so limited.

    Brutal !

So you don't think the guys buying a TA group car are getting a TA ?

While dealers for the most part are in it to make profits (do you yourself make money working or ?) there is no question there is a lot of passion driving GW. He does not do any ADM's either and those dealers that are, probably fit your description better

This 'real TA' is getting a bit elitist.

LOL. "Don't feed the trolls". I fed you the info you wanted. Don't throw it up on me.

I am NOT (you like those capitals) all about profits. In fact, I made a $18,000,00.00 gamble on this that could have very well backfired on me. Frankly, not knowing me and you making that statement I find truly disgusting. So, piss off. I guess it's cold and lonely in Edmonton this time of year and you've got nothing better to do.

I love these cars. I have said, and even presented as such, that these are GTC One of One cars. You are smart, you know what that means. You just had to prove your knowledge. Congrat's. Now, please go back to your body-code-book and bury your nose there.

    Ha! I can envision future conversations at Viper events for many years to come between TA package and TA group owners;

“I have a TA just like you!”
“No you don’t, I have the real TA!”
    “No you don’t!”
    “Yes I do!”
    “No you don’t!”
    “Yes I do!”
    “No you don’t!”
    “Yes I do!”
    “No you don’t!”
    “Yes I do!”

I wonder how long before the fist fight breaks out?

I think the market shows we're also holding onto higher values. Actual TAs seem to still sell in the secondary market really well and for a higher dollar than all other non ACR models. So people do care.

When you could order both the TA package and the TA group the price difference was around $8K so to some there was a difference...more than just a decal. To others, it was not worth the $8K, but there was a difference between the two or at least $8K worth of something.

Correct me if I'm out of line, but that sounds like paint to me, similar fashion that stryker colors are an additional $8,900 feature.

Package has the rear carbon fiber taillight surround and carbon fiber X brace. Those were both $0 options though, the TA sticker is worth $8,900.

Let me guess, you're a *numbered* TA owner? ... See how easy that is to figure out even without it listed in your signature? Show me a similar package with the advanced aero and exterior carbon and cross brace just like the TA option had and I'm willing to bet the price difference is negligible.

The price difference was not in the paint as I was not getting a "Stryker Color". I was considering getting a GTC with the TA option(s) but realized for $2K more I could get the GTC w/the ACR package. So I went the ACR route. The higher TA package was almost $17K and the ACR package was $19K...paint was not in the equation as in the GTC program I was going to go with Plum Crazy Purple.

TA's are so yesterday's news anyway. ACR's are the new king and that is the car that's going out on top. Hahahaha (being sarcastic here, but not really, Lol).

I wouldn't worry about donk. That guy chimes in on all things TA when in all actuality, people don't really care. Makes him feel good that he can distinguish between TA option group and the TA package cars. Lol.

Kind of ridonkulous if you ask me.

To put this in perspective, be happy you are in a newer GEN V to start with. Some of us are still in the lower GEN land. Hope to change that this year and I do see one interesting car at Gerry Woods I could see myself in but will see how the year shakes out. You want rare and probably the best overall is a zero option SRT. I mean really, best bang for the buck and when the next 5 years click off and it becomes about some of the options, colors but more about the condition, history, etc. you will see a well cared for, no stories zero option SRT do just fine on resale against a mega optioned car, factory packaged car maybe excluded.

I can't, because no one gives a F about those cars to track their sales.
