I will say they are great but let's not go nuts and compare them to Bentley.

I just happened to see them next to eachother in Phoenix this weekend! Viper paint looks just as awesome as the 2011 Continental GT that was parked next to it! I'm no paint expert however I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night!!!

I want the white/red. Is that going to be a stock color or special order?

    Coloviper,

Understand your skepticism, and J TNT may be using the Bentley analogy for a bit of flair, but hopefully you will get a chance to visit Prefix. The paint quality and care is vastly improved from
years past on the Viper and it is truly an impressive Plant. Maybe it is because the workers seem to have the same pride and comraderie we have all seen over at CAAP. Sure the analogy is stout, but
Prefix is special and neat to see an article that recognizes that.

    Good find!!

Prefix paint job is good. No orange peel like that C7. But I've owned Bentley too and don't think it's to that caliber. Pretty good considering its American though.

Closer to Bentley than any other American car, thats for sure.

I saw the best paint job and best craftsmanship on any car I've ever seen in my entire life yesterday. It was a 2014 Rolls Royce Wraith. Words cannot articulate its beauty. It was absolutely stunning.

White with red stripes is stunning! And it's a regular order car - all you have to do is go place the order with your dealer, and Conner Avenue will be very happy to build another one.

There's that word again, exclusivity. When did this become part of the Viper, or did I miss something along my journey? I guess I purchased my car because it was to me a modern day muscle car(I know, no back seat). But it was the fact it went against the grain since its inception, not because I joined an exclusive group. If we want to be so exclusive, why do we get together for drives and meets. It's hard to be exclusive when everyone there has what you have, just a year and shade off.

Either way it's a great article and lets everyone know that the car is built in a manner that's all but dead in this price range.

1,000 units annually is, well, exclusive. I don't see the confusion

I consider that to be low production, but I guess that is argueing semantics. 1-2000 annually has always been the normal production of the Viper, but the exclusive mindset seems to be something that has been more prevalent since the Gen5 has been released. You can see my signature below, but I am one of the Gen5 shoppers that doesn't fit SRTs mold. It's all good, I guess we all love these cars for different reasons.

It's always been exclusive for the twenty years its existed.

It's unfortunate that some of the early gen guys resent the marketing of the V to a broader audience. Car guys are car guys.

I in no way resent the marketing of the new car to a new buyer. I do resent the fact the new buyer deems the GenV to be the only Viper worth buying. They need to sell more of these cars in order for the car to be a profitable business case, so I have no issues with them trying whatever they can to market this car any way they need to. Unfortunately the fact that the car is "exclusive" means there will never be enough demand for the aftermarket to show what the car really is capable of. I guess you basically are stuck in a vicious circle. I hope the powers that be at SRT can figure out exactly how to take over a wide niche in a small market.

Enjoy your car, it's needs every fan it can get, even if we agree to disagree on certain points.

I don't think the V is the only snake worth buying but I do think its the best one made to date, ESP the TA variant. I don't even consider the last part an opinion; it's a fact.

It's not the coolest car I've ever owned in my life, but it's one of them. Reviews and sales seemed to have improved this year from last and with Fiat now pulling all of the strings it will be interesting to see which path if any the Brand takes.
