Got tee boned today what are my options

Never really wanted to post on the site, the search function is great for what I need but have a new one.

Was coming home from a cars and coffee today, I was low speed tee boned by a 93 year old women on my passenger side. She cross three lanes of traffic and well I was the unlucky one who she rammed into. Quick glance shows that my 2010 ACR will need paint down the entire passenger side, new side skirts, two new sidewinder wheels which she gouged while trying to back up and both the front and rear wheel are no longer in alignment.

Unfortunately as nobody was hurt the police would not come out and take statements. I took pictures and given where she hit me and the fact that I was not really moving its pretty much a easy thing. Her newer lexus had crash damage on every single panel not just the ones she hit me with.

So I pay a fortune to insure the car with a stated value policy and have coverage for diminished value as well. The car has sub 5K miles, has never been tracked and was 100% perfect in any way. I have a another Viper to use at the track. I bought it to keep perfect and well its not now and I am pissed off. In a perfect world after it gets fixed I would sell it and buy another low mileage example.

Is there a go to guy who can provide a diminished value report to give to my insurance company on the Vipers. If this thing has suspension damage I don't even want it back and truly I just want to be made whole again with a fresh car.

To me, much will depend of the real extent of the damages. See a Viper experienced body shop for a written estimate. Then, you should seek opinions from JonB at PartsRack, Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse, and John Gastman at Roanoke.

After you have a feel for the damages and possible market valve (and, the "wreck-o-genic" devaluation), find a qualified appraiser in your area to review the car and your findings. As you know, to the collector world...wrecks count...usually eliminating collectors from the potential buyer pool.

Sorry to hear this. Best of luck with the resolution.

I know I am a collector, I looked for almost two years to find a perfect 100% clean car. The track rat has been hit like three times and was priced as such.

I am going to throw it up on the rack tonight once I cool down and see how much is really bent or if the alignment just came out completely. I was so wound up I was nauseated.

I am so pissed right now, thankfully I was not driving on of my older cars as the viper took a hit pretty good my stuff form the 20-30's not so much.

    Thanks guys.

Definitely check with JonB. He is a great insurance valuation resource (and resource in general) and he's always been helpful to me. I am a little concerned that you mentioned "Stated Value" policy, which is not the same as the desired "Agreed Value" policy. That will make appraisals and de-valuation estimates even more important.

Since the OP has not contacted us as requested, we are calling this thread spam for now and I'll be moving it off the forum.

Post parts spammer, we are taking these types of threads and refusal to contact us as spam. IN this case its either a member here who doesn't want anyone to know he wrecked his car... or we have another spammer who has access to his account. Either way, I'm pulling the plug until someone squeals.

    Thanks!

Closing thread for now, will give a little more time before moving it off forum.
