    Check engine light code P0443

Ok guys need some help. Just finished installing a Borla 4 muffler cat back with roe hi flow cats, k&n filters, smooth tunes, 170 stat, sct tune by roe and 373 gears. Car runs good but check engine light comes on with code P0443 evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit. I get the light to turn off but eventually turns back on. Any ideas???

I don't see anything that you did that would effect the trouble code you have directly. You may have disturbed the wiring when you did the stat?

How do you get the light to turn off, erase with a scanner?

The possible causes for PO443 are:
Faulty Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control harness is open or shorted
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control circuit poor electrical connection

It could be a blown fuse, loose wiring, bad wiring or a bad solenoid control. Could also be an issue with ECM.

Typical cost on a new solenoid control is about $30-$60 . The part number is 4669475AB on most Chrysler products

I have also seen a loose gas cap throw weird emission codes!

I have that exact same issue with my Roe 2-bar SCT tune. It turns out it's a hardware problem. The PCM is incompatible with the 2-bar tune. We turned the code off. There is no problem with the evap system.

The local shop that did the work for me is a very reputable and highly trusted Ford/Gm tuner along with some newer Mopar stuff but not older Vipers. The 1st thing the shop said was turn the code off through an updated sct tune. I call Roe and they say can't do it through the Sct. What's the easiest way without starting over with a new tuner?

"Reputable tuner" has nothing to do with solving a hardware compatibility issue or not. If it can't be overcome, it can't be overcome. By anyone.

Regarding turning the code off with SCT, yes it can be done. We did it to my car. Maybe they just won't do it due to liability issues as it is emissions related.

Torrie at Unleashed shut off that monitor on mine via SCT tune, so it does work.
