Super bummer man, Sucks to not have the car for so long. Looks like I may be about a couple weeks only.

Well the service manager just called me and said that they've diagnosed all the problems....

First the clutch - the tech found the main clutch fluid line to be rubbing up against the transmission and worked it's self a nice little hole which is the cause of the leak. I asked if the line worked itself loose from from some fastening device... my real question was, is this going to happen again.... maybe a QC thing.

RE: the starter.... it's going bad, they're replacing the whole starter assembly.... they're thinking the components within overheated from tracking the car.... And it shouldn't have happened... maybe a QC thing.

Re: the airbag recall, this one sucks the most.... parts for it are at least 2 weeks out. He said only 18 cars are affected left in the whole country and mine is the only one in the Southeast so parts have to come from the mothership....

So all in I'll probably be out 2-3 weeks. Not as bad as Texasram...

They can fix the rest and give your car back. When the parts come, then bring it back for the recall.

Clutch Line - what happens is the slave line comes out of the bell housing. It exits through a hole that is approx 1" square. In an ideal world the line comes out in the center of the opening. It is very easy to snag (on a harness) that line when the trans is installed, this will move the line out of the center and it could end up touching the exit hole.

My clutch line issue happened right after my car was returned to me from having the tranny rebuilt. I wonder if the issue stemmed from when the tranny was reinstalled....

That's gotta be it. Too much of a coincidence.

I hate it when my line touches the exit hole!
