Question on the rear deck lid

If the carbon fiber is removed from the underside of the trunk deck, can the deck itself be separated from the glass easily?

Before your question can be answered you must post pics of your sweet Carbon Edition GTS

I know of one other carbon edition that has that very same paint issue. Hope you are able to get it sorted out. When I had my paint issues Prefix really came through.

Mine. It will come down too how many variances are associated with my color.

Is it something you caused? The one I speak of was on the fault of FCA and Prefix. A large bubble developed on the trunk deck. Is this what you are experiencing?

No, this one is basically on me. There was a slight imperfection when I bought the car new from the Dealer back in 2015. However, I added additional flaws when I removed my spoiler.

I am hearing that the lid may be connected to the glass by way of window sealant; much like how the front windshield is secured.

A friends Anodized Carbon Edition had a problem with his rear "hatch". After a lengthy negotiation(warranty issue), a large, open, wheeled dolly arrived at his dealership. This was not at all enclosed and looked as though it held 4 complete hatches. Obviously, this rolling rack is used in production.

After about a month, a new hatch arrived...and it looked fine to me after installation.

I had them ship me a wooden and card board crate to ship one back in. The lift gate fit very nicely in it and arrived back to me the same way no issues.
If the spolier is on it will not fit and need to large shipping cage Steve mentioned.
The rear glass is bonded inplace and is best to ship it with the glass as it adds structural strength to the gate. And with the rear defroster issues I would let the guys that know how to install one put it back in if it needs to be removed.

You wouldn't happen to still have that crate would you?
