Alot depends on level of experience. For beginners or novices, I'd suggest Griots garage as an excellent starting part for how-to's and info

I am a huge fan of Griot's and have been using their products for 10 years. I have the buffers and they do a great job without a lot of effort.

I was a meguiars guy, but Griots has an intriguing product line. What's the best final step stuff to try? The finishing cream or best of show wax? Or?

Also anyone tried the liquid glass stuff in the metal can?

Thanks Bruce, car looks good! I have the same 5 spokes, and they're a bit dull looking. Definitely don't have a gleam of those. did you use any alloy polish or just wash & rinse?

just wash and rinse was a 15k mile car that just sat. Barrels took some elbow grease though.

I really like the Zaino line of products. I use the Clear Sealant. It is a synthetic sealant that is applied and requires no buffing. Once it cures I hit it with Z8 Grand Finale, which is similar to a quick detailer. This gives a very wet look. Between full detailings I like Pinnacle Sovereign Crystal Mist quick detailer to maintain it.

ZAINO as well, their activated wax when cured lasts really long, its easy to put on.

ZAINO detail sprays make the car so slick that you don't dare to lean on the car or your gonna slide off!!!!

Their wax does NOT leave a white residue on black items.

I have talked with Sal a few times. Really a class act in my opinion. Sounds like you had a bad experience.

Used a new product about a year ago, Migliore Strata. Very good protection and still beads after a year with only washes in between.

    Pics from this thread: Do-it-yourself-ceramic-coating-Migliore-Strata

I've used Liquid Glass and Klasse previously with great success, just like experimenting with new products.

This stuff is probably one of the easiest finishes I've ever applied aside from Meguiar's Gold, but it protects like multiple coats of LG or a good Klasse application.

Been very happy with Polish Angel. Never ponied up for the ridiculously expense waxes in their line but have been very happy with the rest of their entire line of products. Takes multiple steps and products to go through the whole process but the end finish is worth the effort.

Started using some of the Jax wax products, they seem to do well @ a fair price.

I use Pro Cherry Wax. Been using it for the past 12 years on hundreds of cars. Does a great job and smells great. It's what the Car Chem company used to deliver to our dealership way back in the day. Once I started using it, I haven't looked back. It's worth giving a shot in a smaller bottle. I wouldn't recommend the gallon jug to anyone that doesn't wax commercially
