That seems too quick....................
Depending on your driving skill 3.5 to 4 seconds 0 to 60.
dash windshield mounted testers can be inaccurate. The ones using GPS tend to be more accurate.
Anyone else use their 0-60 mph SRT built in timer function?
I just bought a new car yesterday. I haven't played with that yet. From what we have seen, the Gen V car can be as fast as 3.5 to as slow as 4 sec in 0 to 60 depending on the driver. The launch mode stuff seems a little gimmicky for me. I usually only worry about 1/4 mile stats. I like to run the quarter mile.
Oh, that's coming from the built it meter on the car?
It must be giving you a second. -3.6 sounds more realistic.
If it gives you a second for the 1/4 mile.....that would also be misleading in a cool way.
.............I hope the speedometer is accurate, at least.
Our SRT8 Challenger has that performance meter crap in it.
..........never tried it.
I've never played with those timers, and I forget they are there. I wish I'd tried them on the drag strip, to see how accurate they were.
My 07 SRT8 Charger has that in the EVIC as well. Been discussed on the various LX/LY forums for years. It's counting some initial wheelspin, so not always accurate. Kind of fun though.
Wasn't there a thread discussing this on the other site? I think the gist was that it was measuring using the wheels and not the speedometer. So if you have wheel spin you would get a real low number.
