Door button shape

I bought some extra door buttons so i can make a carbon fiber version. I noticed the shape from my originals is very different. Was going to offer these for sale at some point, but forsee a fitment nightmare. Curious what shape most handles are?

Dodge.... same part number too. Obviously a supplier switch.

My car is a 2014. I am wondering if later models either have different shaped holes or ill fitting buttons nobody has paid much attention too.

I had the recall done on mine - now I'm going to have to take a closer look.

Just looked at mine - definitely the first, not the second. Mine is a 2013, and the door handle recall was done one year ago - last Feb 19.

Yup. That's the type of variation that can result when you are cutting out components with a jigsaw.

i don't even have to go out and check mine... as a matter of fact, i clicked on the thread to see if someone was bitching about it hahaha.

mine look like the pointier ones, the OCD in me spiked when i first saw the car. I just assumed the whole hand built thing, and lack of funding for design revisions. i just call it CHARACTER now.
