2017 Photos of ACR getting excited

My 2017 one of one Stryker Purple of course ACR ordered September 28th or so right before they closed the door. Finally started to paint it got photos today. Should only be a couple months at this point if no delays. Not in any hurry weather too crappy to drive it anyway. viper2017.JPG

Congrats Purple, she is going to look fantastic. Nice build configuration.

We are on a similar time line, I got my first photos of paint work this week too. Seven or eight months is a long time to wait for a car, but like you I am in no particular hurry but also getting pumped now that it has been started.

Yea if you're getting paint photos expect a completed car in two weeks. Then final inspection etc.

Looks like I'm on a similar schedule as Wagnut.

I was surprised at the progress once in paint. Months of info and then all the sudden there's a Viper.

Did you get some paint shots ?? You've been top secret about your build. Curious how you decided to build it

    My car's twin!
I assume the interior is different though. Mine isn't a one of one, just a boring Competition Blue ACR

For being "boring" I sure am excited.I don't think any Viper, let alone an ACR would be boring. LOL.
Mine is a 17. Went the 1of1 route more for the experience than anything.
May not be the most exciting Viper being built but it's mine and it's exactly what I wanted.
Doesn't hurt that there not another one exactly like it.

Yes guy just sold one on eBay couple months ago I spoke to him think he said only offered in 2015? If I see another I may have to think hard about it...Doesn't pop like Stryker Purple but still bad ass!

Yes I do. I have a folder of nearly 100 build photos. The 1 of 1 process is very cool. I hope if the Viper comes back they treat every owner to the same process. Build to order only. I will share some photos at some point in the future.

Cool....looking forward to it. I am going to guess it's not green since I think you said you are keeping the 09 (which is a great call.....nothing like a Gen4 ACR)

I'm ready for mine. Not really the best time of year to receive it here in TN, but I'll survive.
Everyone else doing the factory tour? I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing specific for mine yet, we'll see what happens. I do have that package that just arrived at home though so will see that when I get back from San Jose tomorrow.

Nope, not the same color. No boring old solid colour for me, this one is metallic

JK of course, I have seen your posts and really like your car, but this is not going to be that close to it. Mine is a metallic steel blue with red driver's stripe only. Hopefully it will look different in different lighting. Here are a couple more to hopefully show that.ACR_Clear7.jpgACR_Clear4.jpg

Thanks! I have seen several Stryker Purple cars in person and they are beautiful. Yours should be stunning.

I didn't mean boring in the true sense of the word
I originally wanted the Yorange but after seeing it, I didn't care for it much as I thought it would like the TA 2.0 Orange so, I picked the next best color on my list: Blue.
I love the color and it grows on me more and more. It seems to be a fairly popular color too.

You did the right thing going 1of1 and I wish I had done that but all I wanted was an ACR-E and I got a little confused by the process. I wanted a bare ACR-E, no fancy stuff and I wasn't sure that it would have been what I wanted if I had gone 1of1 (I was wrong of course).

I'm glad that you didn't paint the wing, you'll love the CF look on that thing. That's funny because they always say: CF can have blemishes, but honestly, the wing on my car is flawless.
Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer. Mine got stuck in limbo for about a month but when I got it last August, I was super excited. They unloaded it while I was there but since the dealership had to go over the car, I could only pick it up after the weekend so I just spend the Sat & Sun looking at the pictures I took

I know you didn't, just giving you a hard time.
The 1of1 process wasn't too bad. I can see how it could be confusing though. The dealer I bought it from has sold Vipers before but never a 1of1. Thankfully the sales manager was great at getting the info I needed. Didn't hurt that I built it about 100 times online before going in. One of those things where you can shoot yourself in the foot if you don't pay attention to what boxes get checked.
Sounds like our cars are very similar. I didn't do too much as far as luxury options either. I really could have just ordered an ACR-E but I wanted the experience. Might never have the chance again.
What part of Nor. Cal. You in? I was born and raised in So. Cal. Have some family in Carpinteria.
